• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Would you put your child in a trailer? Don't answer, its illegal because its unsafe. Why would you put your loyal companion canine in a unsafe trailer? Just dont.

Kompact Kamp Trailers

Take a look at 'Kompact Kamp Trailers'. They have what looks like a nice dog (pet) trailer.

Not sure I would do it either. Seems like it would be an awfully rough, noisy ride in a small trailer with small wheels. No matter how good the suspension is, the weight isn't there to smooth it out. I guess folks do it though.

Maybe a dog carrier on the bike and the trailer to haul other gear. Our friends have a dog carrier and she puts an ice pack under the blanket in the hot weather.

google motorcycle pet trailers, there are several

also one ryder made a separate cover for his rt-622 trailer for his dog with a small windshield.

About 3 years ago, at a rest stop, we saw a fairly big dog in a fairly big trailer. His owner said the dog loved it, he would run to the trailer any time he saw the owner going to the bike. Indeed, at the stop the dog got out, relieved himself and waited patiently at the trailer to be let back in. He had a blanket in it, and could look out the back.

Eh, what do I know, I have a little green chicken as a pet.

Hmmmmm

My Shepherd would go anywhere with me. His nose and ears are crazy acute. I can't subject him to all of that. The noise and exhaust are excruciating to him. I miss him when I travel, and he would take a bullet for me, but he stays home! Nobody hurts my friend - especially me! JMHO, Joe

Thanks for the input! Looks like most people suggestions were to still use a dog sitter. Last year when I road across this great country, I had my daughter babysitt, might do the same, sure miss her when I travel!

I think a lot is up to the dog

We had a pug on the back of my Road King with rumble pipes (more than stock, but not obnoxious )

In a doggy carrier
She loved it & I had to make sure she did not scratch bike trying to get in it

Other dogs may vary

Trailer for Dog

Larry,
I don't care what the chicken littles say about the sky is falling but our dog Trina has logged more than 6,000 miles in her trailer. It has 4 windows which all open and a vent on the top , It is built the same way as a refrigerator truck with aluminum and fiberglass with 1 1/2 foam core panels . The same as the very large trailers that the show and hunt clubs use. Trina loads up when we open the door. I never open the window in front as I am concerned about fumes . It has a memory foam 4" thich cusion inside for her to lay on , shes an English Setter and weighs about 45 pounds . The trailer weighs about 250 lbs. This paticular company is no longer in buisness as the owner retired. But there are others , the price was about $3,600 but you get what you pay for and our dog means alot to us. I have built a seat for riding her two up, but prefer the trailer.
