• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Shaky bottoms and vibrations!!

To all of you people that are crazy like me and feeling those "imaginary" vibrations that are putting a damper on our spyder experience, I just ordered a belt tensioner from Baker Air.
i have high hopes that this will resolve this issue. I'll give a report when I have this installed.

I'll wait until SmoothSpyder comes out with one that looks and works OEM. Baker's looks like you bolted an erector set to your bike.

Do hope it works well for you though.

Keep bashing vendors, they keep this site going. Just saying. Without vendors you wouldn't have a F3 Lamonster edition. IMHO

Agreed,in part. Capt Jim's Smooth spyder have been on my 2013 and 2014 RT. I am still on the top of his list for his unit. I'll use one and sell one if necessary. I'm in a hurry and I know Capt Jim is over whelmed many orders for his backrest. If his looks and works better, I will use it. Should be interesting!

I for one happen to like an UN-FILTERED opinion and it usually helps forward the cause... I/E better products..

I support and rave about many of the site sponsored vendor products. I also call the kettle black when its true. Sponsor or not. Bad products can be improved if the sponsor knows about it. If they do not, others will take over.

Yes, I do business with Lamont (only a few orders other than the work he did on my bike before purchase) but have been very pleased with his customer service and his attention to detail to bring a great product to market and keep improving it. Some of them replacing poor products other vendors here already sold.

But I always shop supporting vendors first. Even if the price elsewhere is a bit cheaper. But I calls em as I sees em.

Well..!!

I guess it's all in how you say it...constructive critizisum is helpful insulting remarks not so much. Then it's also in how you take it...

The picture of the Baker built belt tensioner for the F3 has a pulley on the top and the bottom of the belt
It might work better than all the others with a pulley only on the bottom

The picture of the F3 belt tensioner from Baker was a prototype. He sent me one two days ago and I'll be installing it today for my long trip to Quebec and back. I was pleased to see that it was welded aluminum and then black powercoated. It's not a bad looking piece now and I'll be able to do some real world testing on it. If it works as good as he says it does I'll be stocking them in the store, if not I won't. I'll take some pics of the finish product installed.
