• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

New Vendor- GloRyder

Sorry, Massachusetts riders:

No motor vehicle so operated shall mount or display a flashing, rotating or oscillating light in any direction...

-MGL, TitleXIV, Chapter 90, section 7.

I realize this is for while driving (same deal for undercarriage lights) and they should be fine while parked on display. I also realize that folks will probably write in and say "I drove right past a cop in MA with these on and he didn't say anything!" like anytime we have a legal discussion here...:D

Crap. There goes my grand plan.

I see the light effect is a bit different on the stock wheels as opposed to the 6 spoke mags. Is it because of the shape of the mags that doesnt reflect the light better?

First post. :doorag:

Anyway I give this product a big thumbs up  and I'm glad Kurt decided to be a part of our little group here. He's a super nice guy and real easy to work with. This is not a new product but it is a new product for the Spyder. He had to make a special adapter to work with our wheels. It will work on the 6 spoke and the three spoke wheel. I will say it looks better on the three spoke because it lights up more of the wheel.

I did read that and I agree. I was just commenting/asking if it was because of the shape of the wheel that it looks the way it does... and in a non direct way, asking if there was something that could be done about it...maybe a modification of how it lights the wheel.

Yes, we saw this on Lamonts six spoke wheel when we first installed them. The stock 3 spoke wheels allow the light to directly shine onto the wheel. Basically if the light is sitting in a bowl there is not alot you can do as the six spoke seems to be.

However...The GloRyder is manufactured to allow the user to position the leds to shine outward on the wheel. I would suggest you try this. Take off the cap at night and slightly angle the Led's up and see if they catch the wheel better.

Will have to try that. Thanks

Are GloRyders as bright as shown

The picture of the red Spyder is ours, and yes they are as bright as shown, you can even get a little more brightness by using the more expensive batteries from Radio Shack, that are supposed to last 5x longer than the ordinary batteries.:2thumbs:

Just ordered the yellow :2thumbs::2excited:

What about something for the rear wheel ?

The rear wheel has not been released yet. When it is we will make a point of dropping the news first here for a quick heads-up.

Btw, be sure to send us out some night pics once you have them mounted. We are still putting together a gallery. (Alot of the standard digital cameras have automatic settings now for night shots w/ no flash.)

Regards,
Lance
