Today I installed my new LED headlamps, Ram Mount and USB power outlet for GPS and the Lamonster performance muffler pipe. Wow. Sounds great and the headlight were oh so simple to install. Plug n play. The exhaust was 30 minutes tops. Only one spring gave me any trouble.

Yes, the F3 uses the H4 lamp set. I have headlights and fogs installed from XenonDepot on my wifes RT and really liked them much better than my old HIDs. They turned out great with easy OEM fit on the F3. These are the ones with the Phillips LEDs. High and Low beam integrated in one capsul, just like OEM.

So these are what you got? http://www.xenondepot.com/h4-philips-x-treme-vision-bulbs-p/12342xv.htm

If not, I would like to know exactly what you ordered. Do I need a kit or can I just swap out the bulbs?

Nice location for the USB power. (Did you have to remove that panel, or was that a tap from the
top and you could reach from underneath)? Oh... what power-port brand did you use?

You have to remove the panel before drilling the hole. Also the factory power feed for the outlet is under that panel, not the left lateral panel as stated in the owners manual. Its not hard to remove if you take things apart in the order the manual says. You also have to remove that top panel to replace the headlight bulbs, that's why I did both at the same time.

I used this USB power port, its nearly identical to the one BRP sells and only $10.

Be aware that the factory accessory power connections are only on when the bike is running and there is no option to move a fuse for always on like there is on the RT.

Looks great! How easy was the install with the cloth heat sinks? What does the beam pattern look like? Can you take a photo of the low and high beam pattern?

Thanks!
Robert

Installing these is exactly the same as changing as stock bulb. You just need to ruffle the heat sink webs to spread them out after installing the capsule. They install from the top, remove the top cover and instrument cluster.

I have no pics of the stock pattern but they were so dim as to be nearly useless in the dark. I ride to work in the dark so needed better lighting. The high and low patterns are distinct with the low beam having a sharp cut off so as not to blind oncoming traffic. I will try to remember to take some night time pics.

Congrats..!!

busy man. Glad all went well with install. Thanks for posting will have to try the lights...enjoy..:2thumbs::ohyea:

Where did you order the Ram ball from?

Value Accessories has a kit with the mount, spacer and the replacement longer bolt to mount to the handlebar clamp. Very reasonable price too. You may have to call, he just put the kit together while trialing on my bike at Spyderfest.

That's what I odered yesterday!! Any idea what you're gonna do for aux lights in the factory holes??? There appears to be a few nice options.. The BRP ones are a non starter for me..

I have not researched those yet. Suggestions? Would be nice to find an aftermarket LED driving lamp that fits/mounts well. What about the dash switch?

I am putting off other farkels until I get the body/paint done. There is a budget limit and I am already well past it. My list is growing but it is prioritized. Headlights were really needed as the stock ones are pretty lacking.
