• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

well i finally sat on a f3 today, the dealer had 2 in stock. the first i sat on was a stock setup and i felt very uncomfortable on it, the second was with the pegs set one setup forward, still not comfortable. i like my rt because i sit higher and i even use a 1 1/2 inch gel seat on it.

however i do like the looks of the f3 in person, the pictures just don't do it justice.

The new F3's do look very good in person.

Had the same experience. The machine was not set up for me. They had the U-fit system at the "other" store, but I was not a buyer, and driving 25 miles to play with adjustments was not a necessary item.

The test sit was great, but no test ride needed since I was just kicking tires this go around.

Front storage was really small compared to what I was used to on the RT frunks.

:agree:  :hun:
I'm seriously "UnderTall" also, and I've never found anyone in here insulting anybody else about the amount of poundage that their Spyder has to lug around...

Hey John,
I like the F-3s also; the cargo capacity just doesn't work for me... nojoke

no joe but i also don't understand why they will start with insults, i like the bike but it is just not for me

John

I did not quite understand that comment either, But i "think" it was against other Spyder lovers on this site rather than at the dealer.

Wow..!!

This long to sit on one...?? :dontknow: glad you got to meet one in person. They are here to stay and they are growing on many...not one of them

Some forum members are astonished, those of us who are on the big side should even imagine that BRP would make a stock Spyder that would accommodate us....

You made a comment about the stock shocks not being adequate and my reply was:: What stock shocks would be adequate for a 6ft 1 - 340 pound guy and I stick by my post!!! You took it as an insult!!! Talk about beating a dead horse over and over!!! I found stock shocks on any bike I've owned to be quite accomidating for normal sized people and normal use.. You continue to be butt hurt cause you're above average in height ,, weight and obviously sensitivity... All SELF Inflicted except for the height thing...Not a wise move to poke fun at reality... I find your statement "On the BIG SIDE" amusing so keep EM coming 😎 This is the third time that I noticed you referring to my comments and your signature is a direct result of you being being insulted by my original remarks that I stated REPEATEDLY were not made to offend.. I'm not a Bully but if you want to keep poking,,, do it in a PM... I will happily engage you and not clutter up this great site with your inability to reconcile the difference between a stated fact vs reality !!!!! Again I'm responsible for what I say,,, not for what you understand... Go back and re read my comments SLOWLY and come to your senses....

I did not insult NYPARROTHEAD,,,he took it that way!!! If I meant it as an insult I wouldn't have stated otherwise REPEATEDLY!!!

all i was saying is that for me being 6 foot and 340 the bike was not comfortable for me. i didn't say anything about the suspension on the bike or if i thought it would not handle my weight. it amazes me how any topic can go south

Hey John, I sat on one and drove one. I'm under tall and over wide, so what I found was that the over wide portion tends to overlap the rear of the tank. Anyway, not all people fit all Spyders. I'm still considering an F3S.

My comment was not directed at you at all / It was directed at NYParrothead..

I did take it as an insult and after telling you so you repeated it in more post! I have dealt with people like you all my life and I do not shy away from standing up to any of them. I have blocked you and I would hope you would do the same!

Please don't use me as an excuse for what's happened in your life... I'm not the enemy/ your lack of discipline and math / physics comprehension is... It's not my fault you don't feel accomidated on anything designed for someone half your size.. It's not my fault they don't make super sized every FN thing... You posted something on a public forum and I happened to disagree and I make no apologies nor shy away from that discussion either 😎
