• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

After Market Windshield Question

I have owned 2014 RT Limited for about a month now with about 550 miles under my belt and know I am in definite need of an after market windshield. I am 6'2" which isn't a big issue...the problem is I have a 29" inseam which means I am all torso and sit very high. My head is getting beat up pretty badly at highway speeds.

On my Burgman 650 and my Goldwing I had F4 Custom Windshields. I am wondering what the experienced masses say here for someone my size. Also, once my wife recovers from her brain surgery (1 week and counting since surgery) she will be on the back....she is petite at 5'2".

Please give me your suggestions as which aftermarket windshield would work best for me.

I hope things are going well for the Mrs. ......F-4 has windshields for the RT that are 3 in taller and can also be wider.......check HOME page for their AD....Mike

I also would suggest the +3 windshield. I am surprised that you are having wind issues tho. I am also 6'-2" and never have any problems. Whenever it is very windy or I am going on the main 4 lane highways at speeds of around 75, I raise the shield and all is good.

I think you need the F4. Very tall rider. Maybe think about a wider one also. Tom :spyder:

I am about your size and had the same problem. I purchased a cal sci windshield and love it. I can now hear my radio at speed and the wind isn't trying to tear my helmet of from the back. good investment if you are going to ride.

How does the cal sci windshield compare your OEM '14 windshield? I believe the stock windshield is 23", and the optional windshield is 25". This makes the data on the calsci website out of date. My concern with the F4 +3 Wide is that it's large size will reduce mpgs.
