• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I installed my battery after winter storage and get absolutely nothing when I turn the key. I checked the charge on the bat. and it's good. Any ideas?

I just checked, my 2012 computer comes on with the kill switch off. Either you missed a wire or the battery is flat. Did you have it on a maintainer all winter? Try charging and load testing it.

You don't have to remove the battery befoe winter storage. I use a battery tender and my spyder start at the first try.

Check each battery connector...

I load tested and it seems fine. Could a fuse go while in storage?

I would break it down into small bits.
You already checked the battery. OK
Do you have power at the jumper posts. If yes.
Do you have power in the left and right fuse boxes by checking one of the fuses that is hot with the key off. If yes
Turn key on. Check for power at a switched fuse.

Just carry on like that and you will find it quick enough.

do the lights come on?
is Kill switch off.
did you step on the brake pedal before starting.
Did you hit the eco button

some things to ponder.

No power

you have a connection problem. Even a weak battery will light the dash, flashers, horn etc. Has nothing to do with the kill switch. Make sure you have the positive cable connected at the battery and at the jumper post. Same with the ground or negative. Some times one can disconnect at either or both locations. All indicates that there is no connection to the system. So follow the connections. Check all the fueses and relays. Sometimes disconnecting the battery the wrong way can cause some sparking/shorting. Let us know what you find, it is perplexing...:dontknow:

There were those with the ignition switch problem might check with dealer about that...

Starting day two. will check on everything mentioned. I agree it has to be a connection problem. Any recommendations as to what fuses to check first? Wish me luck.
If he has no power at all then I would agree its a connection problem. Or is the main blown?

Any updates from the first post??

I would think it would be pretty hard to get the cables crossed to the battery..Red to Positive-Black to Negative.

Try the left fuse box and check the fuses in there first..Hope you have a volt/Ohm meter??

Arabella has started!!!

:yes:Just about when you think you must be a complete idiot, you probable are. There are two positives and two negative cables that need to be hooked up. I had only one positive and two negatives. First time I've seen that. Obviously nut(intended) much of a mechanic. Thanks to everyone who posted with helpful suggestions. About to go for my first ride of the year. It looks like rain is coming but I don't care. Yahoo!!:ohyea::ohyea::yes::yes:

Glad to hear you got it figured out. They come out of the factory with only one wire per post. Someone must have wired some accessories directly to the battery.
