• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Hi all. I just bought a 2014 Spyder LTD. We're expecting snow today, so I'll probably pick her up next week.

I look forward to getting to know fellow Spyder riders.

Bob and Don, thank you for welcoming me to the forum. It's great to be here.

Don, thank you for the advice. I greatly appreciate it.....and I need it. I've never ridden a three wheeler.

Welcome..!! Welcome..!!

to both the roadster world and this most informative site...congrats on the new ryde..:2thumbs: hope that will be the end of the fluffy stuff...:banghead:

:welcome: It will take you 200 to 300 miles to adjust to the Spyder. Plan on doing a single long trip to do this, and stay OFF the major highways - use the winding back roads. One of the initial issues many have is the "death grip", causing you to tire early, and get sore. I have recommended to several new riders to practice riding open handed - just pushing to turn. Anyway, relax and enjoy the ride - remember that lonely right foot thingy is the only thing that will stop you!! :)

:welcome:and :congrats: on your new ride( 2014LTD) Don't be shy ask questions, we are here to help, I am glad that you found this site, Welcome to the Spyder world. :nopic:

I hope that the snow goes away soooooooooooooon for you, so you can lean how to ride spyder.
Up here in Vermont we still have a lot of snow :banghead: If you are looking for spyder events check out the Events/groups on the homepage. Sent a pm Deanna

Thanks for the welcomes! And thanks for the advice/suggestions! I am very open to any and all advice/suggestions. It seems there's a lot more to riding and learning about the Spyder than I originally thought. I'm very happy I found this Forum.

Deanna, I got your PM and will respond ASAP.

Thanks again!

Bob

Welcome, Bob. Congratulations on your new fun machine. Since you've not ridden a three wheel machine do read the safety portion of your owner's manual thoroughly, then relax, have fun and if warm enough, bring a tooth brush to scrub the bugs off your teeth. The big grin catches lots of them.

:congrats: on your new bike! Delve into the information here, especially the sticky links in General to learn as much as you can! You are going to have a blast!

Welcome to this great site

And the the Spyder world. I very recently got a 2014 RT-S and am still getting used to it. Different------than the motorcycles i"ve been riding all my life.

CHECK THE TIRE PRESSURE mine was delivered with low pressure----once set right , what a difference.
