There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The F3-S is AMAZING

My F3-S got delivered to the house Saturday evening. After a quick intro, I was off and running. Stayed within my development as I'm a first time ryder. I did read the manual pretty much cover to cover before the trike got there and watched the video DVD. I also had 20 minutes of training at the dealership.

So, Sunday was 4-5 hours on the trike. A couple hours at a local mall parking lot before they opened. VERY useful. My wife took a small ryde on Sat evening and enjoyed it. Then on Sunday at the mall she blurts out "We may have to get another one of these!" with a huge grin on her face.

Felt comfortable enough today to ryde to work. No interstate or highway, just a 10 mile straight shot down one road. Wonderful ride.

Looking forward to ryding EVERYWHERE! Awesome machine. Couldn't be happier.
Except ALL the accessories are on back order until the end of the month!!! Big bummer. I ordered saddlebags, backrest, aux lights, foot boards all around, and a windshield. I understand the windshield issue. The Rt 66 is being replaced. But EVERYTHING else? It sucks.

Oh well, no passengers! :D Wouldn't anyway for a few months. Need more proficiency alone.

Congratulations..!!

glad you are blending in with your new roadster. The two spyder families are a big thing now. Your going to have a great time and it only gets better with every outing. Hope all your farkles arrive soon...:2thumbs::ohyea:

Ron, congratulations!!!!!

. . . . . you are now certifiably SPOILED.

All Spyder experiences are incredible, now you know why we all mention "grins" and "smiles" - but, while they don't meet everyone's needs, I think that the F3 is the best Spyder ever made. You started out at the top.

Since you sound like you are a by the manual kind of guy, here are some links you should enjoy and have some great resources:

The Motorcycle Safety Foundation: http://www.msf-usa.org/Default.aspx ( lots of good info )

Check out their Library section for these two books ( downloadable PDFs ):

3 Wheel Riding Tips : http://www.msf-usa.org/downloads/3w_tips.pdf

3 Wheel Basic Riding Course : http://www.msf-usa.org/downloads/3WBRC_Student_Handbook_2010.pdf

A lot of it will be repetitious and they are not "new", but there are great nuggets of info that we all forget to pass on to new riders. And, you might consider doing one of their courses if there are any in your area.

and, of course you know there is always SpyderLovers.com for more info, how-to's, and Spyder attitude.

Enjoy,

Tom

You need to get out and ride my friend.

Got mine a little over a week ago

It is ripping good fun. Rode mine up Bogus basin Rd. near Boise Id. on Sat. It eats the twisties like candy.
I do believe its faster than my Corvette was going though the turns.

Wouldn't Know. Live In The Stupid North . Waiting For Better Weather So To Get A Test Ride:dontknow:

170 miles and counting

Thanks all!
Spent the evening Saturday in my neighborhood. Now commuting to work. Taking the "Long" way home.
Spending each evening on a short, but getting longer, night rides. Keeping it simple.
I'm MUCH more comfortable with it now.

I haven't broke 60 in it and haven't been on the highway yet, but I KNOW it's faster than my 350Z.

I did get rained on today. :sour: Wore leather and was fine. Pants were a little soaked, but, it was a small price to pay for the experience.

I have been stopped and talked to by at least a dozen people asking about it. I always reply with a big fat stupid grin!

Thanks a bunch!
Ron
