There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Do you have any photos and part numbers of highway pegs on an ST?

We attended the Smokey Mountains Fall Spyder Rally and had a GREAT time, meeting the riders that attended, and seeing their beautiful machines. We brought our new RT & ST Highway Mount Set (CA004-RTB) and sold ten sets in just the three days of the event. These black powder coated highway mounts offer much greater comfort, and fit all RIVCO pegs or any others with 3/8" mounting bolts. The adjustable arms have a large range of motion, with multiple mounting positions that move your feet 8"-14" forward, and the sets are now available on our website, priced at $149.95. (Photos show the mounts with our PEGSBK, Black Anti-Vibration Peg, sold separately.)

I have one concern about this product. What happens in a panic stop situation then the floorboard drops? From the photo it looks like it will damage the plastic guard. Maybe it's just the angle.

Good question and thanks for asking it. I have been planning on getting these so I hope that someone can answer it.

Anyone@Rivco?

Quite few posts here from Rivco and now nothing to address my concern?

I also have a concern.
Isn't the floorboard a plastic/polymer?
So over time what keeps the bracket bolts from breaking through?

Thanks
AJ

I just received these by UPS today for my 2013 RT. Have not installed them yet, but will do that soon and take pictures.

The directions say this...
6. Install the right side in the same manner using the same template turned over (both sides aresymmetrical). Sit on the Spyder and adjust to the desired location. NOTE: if you have mounted the right extension facing forward leave a minimum of ¾” between the bodywork and the bottom ofthe extension so that in the event that severe braking is required and the right floorboard breaks away or pivots down that the extension does not stop the board from pivoting or movingdownward.

There are a lot of different mounting angles and heights available to suite the riders comfort, so it should not be hard to comply with the instruction above concerning the "break-away" floorboard. At first glance, it may seem that 3/4" may not be enough clearance for the floorboard drop, however, remember in an emergency stop, the downward pressure will be on the brake pedal - not the floorboard. So 3/4" should certainly be enough additional travel for the brake. In the event of a break-way, the bracket may end up resting on top of the plastic guard, but shouldn't damage it.

With my RT, it shouldn't be an issue at all. While I can trip the floorboard latch by reaching underneath and manually tripping the lever on the brake pedal arm, I cannot exert enough pressure on the brake pedal itself to trip it, even if I stomp extremely hard on it. (I suppose maybe it might tip if I were very low on brake fluid, or if there was air in the lines.)

Rob, could you please post a photo, and your assessment of this product on the issue at hand, when you are done installing it? This was going to be the next farkle (Rivco) I installed on my RT.

Yep, will do. I should be installing them this weekend. I'll take pictures of the install and also the "break-away" issue. And if the weather holds, I'll take a ride with them and post my impressions.

Also see JC's post earlier in this thread.

My Review of These Mounts...

I finished mounting my new RIVCO mounting brackets and highway pegs today. Here is a picture of them on my Spyder...

After I finished the job and rode with them, I decided to write up a review of these brackets which hopefully answers the questions raised in this thread. You can find the full review HERE.
