• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

For a $24000 GS, you would think they would put on a new back tire

Could be...!!

that tire is a slick and new but other than the extended swingarm and custom wheels not that much to see. Is nice but pricy....

IMO: the :ani29: is a pretty good machine, but has not reached collector status. Neither is there a big market for customized versions.

Those who try to sell heavily farkled :spyder2:'s and price them accordingly end up getting 500+ looks and no takers. The one pictured does stand out, has some neat looking tires and rims.

Not enough to warrant a price $7K over new back in 2008. Current 2008's are running around $8K.

I would also be wondering how the :ani29: has been treated mechanically. It could be a garage queen, and been hauled from show to show, or it could have been driven like it was stolen. My guess is the later.

That's a BFG drag radial tire. Its supposed to look like that. They look like that new. Hard to put a price on the really over the top custom work. I've seen this bike in person and its top quality. Its worth it to the right person not looking for a run of the mill OEM machine.

They have a better chance of getting struck by lightning than getting 24k for that bike. People are crazy on the used prices for these things to the point you can get new for a grand or two more. In this case you can get a brand new RT for less.

Personally, I wouldn't want to own an RT any more than I'd want that custom GS. However, I can appreciate the work and craftsmanship that went into the GS.

Something is only worth what someone is willing to pay....
