There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Agree it is pricey. I found one on Ebay for $90 so I bit the bullet - no tax and free shipping as well. One thing I learned once I installed it, lousy and any kind of grade (like my drive way). I need to find something I can attache to bottom that will act as a cushion/gripping the pavement. Up till I bought it, I was using old blue Rubbermade footstool - really cheesy but it worked.

I did too, then I bit the bullet and bought an OEM one. I haven't looked back. It's very nice and very functional. In the big picture, it's only $100.00 max. Go for it, you'll be glad you did.

Release buttons
I love the BRP stand and we have them on both of our trailers.... BUT.
The release buttons that allow the stand to swing away and release from the trailer hitch bar are very hard to work. Buttons on both sides have to be fully pushed in simultaneously to release the bar and trying to do that while pulling the stand out at the same time as you are lifting the trailer hitch off of the ball requires a minimum of three appendages. Unfortunately I have only two that work well and usually when I am unhitching the trailers my wife is nowhere to be found.
The same is true when trying to connect the trailer although it is a bit easer because you can rest the trailer hitch on the Spyder while you try to pull the stand away from the hitch bar.
I think this is a bit over engineered as one button would have been sufficient.

Cheaper Stand?
I put this on my Harbor Freight trailer and it works good. I don't know if it would fit the 622. Only cost about $24.

Nothing like the real deal. Put a little lube on the buttons and they work easier. They need to be somewhat stiff to keep it up and in place when underway. Nothing works better than OEM. I buy most OEM for 20% off. Talk to the parts managers especially when you buy a lot. They usually will discount. I have done this with three different dealers and it seems to work well.

I have the BRP stand and verrrry seldom use it as it is a 2 man operation and most times I'm missing the second man!!! :roflblack: Sooo don't use and would put good set of chocks(found rocks scarce..)as a priority over the stand...:clap:

Karyl, no need to get yourself a man, remove the dumb buttons and replace them with a D-ring. Now deploying the stand is a one woman operation.

The only problem with the bucket is it takes up too much space in the trailer. Sometimes you want to unhitch when you are on the road and I just don't have room for a bucket.
