• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Winter IS coming

Spyder fever has hit me, so I guess I have to wait until...................................................Spring. I hope that we have a very short winter here in the New England States :roflblack::roflblack::roflblack: Deanna

Wait until Spring gets here. I hope we have a very short winter. Plan vacations, think of what I can do for my next farkle. P.S. Help mike with his farkles on his Spyder. Deanna
Please try to keep Mike out of trouble...
You'll be unsucessful ; but give it a try! :D

Bob: Yes, I will try to Keep mike out of trouble. That is a job and 1/2. :roflblack::roflblack::roflblack: :roflblack::roflblack:. He will come up with something to add to his Spyder for sure. Deanna

At this time of year, all the farkles I buy go to Mrs Claus for birthday & Christmas presents - that gives me lots to do when the weather is too crummy to ryde.

I'm probably going to add the trailer hitch to my list, with the included mud flap as a real bonus. Still pondering the belt tensioner - I'm right on the fence on that one.

Anyone have one on a 2014 RT? Worth the $$ ??

I've see some RT622s in the $2500 range, so I've been harassing my dealer. At that price, I'd spring - at $3500, no thanks. It's a cost per use thing.

I had the Baker on my 2012RT and just recently installed the Smoothspyder on my 2014. Both make a difference in reducing belt vibration. My wife even commented that she felt the ride was smoother with less vibration. It seems as if both devices do a good job, the Smoothspyder has the advantage of being able to adjust the tension via a spring. Both are fairly easy to install.

I bought a nice trunk rack for my 2010, that I didn't get around to installing before I sold it, and gave it to a friend, who never installed it. So it's back - new and added to this winter's farkle list!! I do wish I had kept the Corbin seat too......

Well; it kind of depends on just how good I've been all year...
My "Christmas Wish-List" will be 100% farkles... AGAIN!
What I'm really hoping for; is Reggy's new side storage compartment LED lighting, and a BRP Chrome Windshield mounting bracket...
:pray::pray::pray::pray::pray:

Time will tell...
Bob: You always have "Christmas Wish -List going, I bet on your list is " Getting the "Welcome To The Family Package from BRP",:roflblack::roflblack: Deanna

After a ride to the dealer Thursday morning starting out before dawn and being on the ragged edge of chilly, my winter farkles are going on my bones. Am open to any brand recommendations, particularly if they have long sizes. Got my big three Spyder farkles, SpyderPops bump skid, missing belt guard and KOTTS grilles, on two weeks ago. There's probably a SmoothSpyder off in the future, like springtime.

It snowed in my area last night. We have about a half inch of "dust" on everything. If this does not melt off, my riding season is finally over for the season. Got in a hundred miles plus between Wednesday and Thursday the 22nd and 23rd. So far, this is the latest I have been able to ride since arriving here in 2001.

Got my 2014 back from the dealer on Wednesday. Looks and runs like new. What a difference from riding the 2011 998 that I was doing during the downtime.

Still have the KOTT grills to install. No plans on any other farkles--but it is a long time until March.:popcorn:

Today's forecast is for 82 deg and sunny. Tomorrow will be 85! I'm afraid when winter finally decides to come, it'll be killer!

Isn't that pretty warm for your area this time of year?

Let's hope everyone does not have a topsy turvy winter like last year. Our topsy turvy was mild and nice compared to...

Winter is coming

Sorry - I am a G.O.T. tragic!!

fog lights

You should be able to find fog lights [ after market ] for much less than $450.00 !!!!!

Winter out here means cold wet weather - the kind I don't ride in. So I've saved some of my farkles to install over the winter - Baja Ron's sway bar, hard wiring my GPS, adding a trailer hitch, and a couple of other items of lesser note. I may also add a better horn, and I'm still considering a belt tensioner... my goal is to add a couple of things a month during November, December, and January (February can have some nice weather), just to keep my hands dirty. I'm probably also going to pull the inserts that reside where the big spenders have the fog lights, and have them painted the same color as the bike - BRPs $450 asking price for the fog lights - just for the parts - is a joke.

My RT has it's own garage, shared with my shop, which is nice and dry and heated, so we're good to go!

What farkles are you going to add this winter? Let's keep an open dialog, in case anyone runs into a problem...

Bob : it is supposed to go up into the 70's next week here in NY - amazing weather to get some more riding in !!!!! yeah !!!!!
I've been watching those reports too! :D
Next Saturday is starting to look like some rain and snow showers...:banghead:
I'm less than 100 miles away from getting to 5,000 miles worth of fun this year; I'm gonna go try and get a bit closer to that mark before Football and NASCAR start today...:D
