Honda GoldWing Reverse Trike - Spyder RT Competition?

I don't want to mislead you Bob, but at the moment, I am not in the market for a replacement. I have put a ton of money into my 2013 RT and I may be in the minority here, but it is running flawlessly and my wife and I have have zero complaints with it - heat included. However, when the time comes to replace it, at the moment, I'll be going to the 1330, BUT I love the fact that there is another option out there. It's like buying a car. You know what you want, but for due diligence, you check out the competition.

Hey; I'm happier than a pig with a trough-full of corn in front of me, to hear that you're Spyder is running so well... :D

That Rewaco is a neat looking machine....a VW engine I suspect. The GW with the kit in front looks great to me. If it runs and handles as well as my old clunky '02 Motor Trike, it is a keeper. I really like my old Wing and my new Spyder. They are different rides, both good in different ways. Yes, the Wing has the torque but the new 3 cyl Spyder does pretty well once you learn the sweet spots on shifting. I thrashed Mr. Cognac through the "three sisters" today and it passed the test. Both fit nicely in my barn.

The 3 sisters are State routes 335,336 and 337, west of Medina, TX and north of Leakey. About 140 miles of hills, sharp curves cut out of some tall hills. There is a state sign at the beginning of 337 out of Vanderpool stating the recent deaths. Today's reading was 11. I am not sure what period of time this covers, some time back I went by this part of the route, and it read 12...maybe the annual rate...??

Thanks George and congrats on the new spyder!! You snuck that by me-)

The rewaco is very comfortable and has a 4cyl Ford Zetec engine which is located in front of rear axle. 140HP and the front suspension is a Trapezoidal fork with center spring. Different than the kits and built from the ground up.

Neat. I like it and I could stretch my legs out...ha ha They are kinda long and get cramped after 200 or so miles. If I weren't so old I might pop for a Rewaco...I am rolling in money now that the wife got promoted to the second shift head saw operator at the lumber mill, life is good. Oh, well....

:spyder2:

:congrats: on her promotion... :D
After all; you DO have a lifestyle, for her to maintain! :roflblack:

Bob, It is hard on her, but she is not one to complain. The second shift starts at 1700 to 0100 which is not bad, but she does have to get up at 0530 for her school bus run....I told her if she could work more overtime, she could give up this bus thing and maybe get a paper route which would be less stressful. I have been busy this morning sharpening the three blades on her riding mower. We have a little over 7 acres to mow....she has time to do this on weekends when the mill is closed. Life is good.

Anyway, our local dealer, Coyote Powersports, had a Spyder rally this past Friday and Saturday...about 50 Spyders showed up and we rode the hill country north and west of San Antonio. Great time. Additionally, the Spyder tech (who is the service mgr) did the BUDS check on any Spyder needing checked, free of charge.

:spyder2:

Another good source of income: Is she willing to sell her blood?

You don't need to thank me; helping out my friends, is what I love to do the most!

Coyote outdid themselves now we've got to get Woods and Central Texas Powersports here in Austin to get on the ball if they wanna keep me. Not heard good things of Woods since they bought Lonestar BMW here.
Good to finally meet you as well as Daryl!

Bob, sell her blood....what a great idea...I had not thought of that....thanks

Ab, the boys in Austin and other Spyder dealers will need to work a little harder to beat Coyote....good to see you and see you next year...

Yes, she really is....had the old darling 56 years and getting used to having her around. One thing she said the other day that I am sure to remember is that if I ever leave her for a middle aged biker chick (around 19) she will call an attorney friend and after he gets through with me I will only have my BVDs and a hand held CB radio.

I said I understand the BVDs, but what about the CB radio. She said that is so you can hear me and my boy friend riding around on Mr. Cognec! I gotta stay around for sure....
