• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

So what are the chances?

Counting down and I am within a month of purchase. I have been aggressively researching my options and reading posts on these forums going back to mid last year so far.
I see occasionally that people are finding "new" older model Spyders available at the dealership. I was just wondering what you think my chances are of finding a "new" 2012 RTS would be?
Willing to travel up to 6 hours and I live in an area that is 3 hours away from 9 dealerships.

This is a question that only you, your telephone, and a list of dealers within your acceptable travel range can answer. :D
Happy Hunting, and The Best of Luck to You! :2thumbs:

Most dealers have a website with inventory.
Good luck

Unfortunately, most of the dealer inventory websites show the whole line up and not what is actually in inventory at the location. A phone call and verification of in stock is advisable before taking a long trip IMO.

There are still some 2012's around but you will have to look. I would recommend staying away from the 2013's. The flames of controversy are flying once again on the 13's. Also, 14's will soon be on "closeout" with the arrival of the 2015's in late September.

:agree: The latest information, is on the desk of the manager of the dealership...
Who knows when the "WebMaster" will get around to making revisions?

That's what I am seeing online. Checked at least 20 dealerships websites and only dates available are 2013/2014 and they show the web stock image BRP sales material so looks like I have some calling to do in near future.

Give Pitbull a call. They may be able to help you locate if they do not have what you are looking for.

I know of two

Clem's Powersports in Enumclaw Wa just got two from a dealership that closed in Alaska. Now I know it's too far but I bought my first Harley in Reno Nv and had them ship it to me. It was $ $400 to ship. Might be worth looking into and the shipping possibilities. Or get a plane ticket for around $400 or so. Book round trip but don't use return. Thinking way out of the box here:yes:

There are a couple of NEW 2012s out here (Northwet), and shipping will be $800 to $1,000 - make your deal accordingly. If it were my deal, I would negotiate to include a plane ticket to the dealer's location, and ryde your new Spyder home. You could ryde a long way, stay in nice motels, and have memorable meals, for less than a $1,000 moving bill.. PLUS, you would be comfortable riding her, by the time you get home. JMHO

Pretty good..!!

There are a few if not many out there. Some dealers can locate and trade to get one to you. But like Bob said you and your phone are your best bet...

Check out Washington/Oregon Cycle Trader - there are two new 2012 RT SM5 Spyders listed for $15,999 with full warranty...

Saw a new 2012 RT A&C SM5 on ebay 16999 2 days ago, can't hit that site from work but might still be there....seem to remember it was a dealer with extended warranty and stuff.

Having a '12, if mine hadn't been so damn cheap I'd have bought a '14, there is a world of difference. If you can wait for '14s to drop more you'll probably be happy you did.

Seeing some good deals for used models from the Mid West in the 4 Sale by Owner forums. I hope there are more coming in a Month. It doesn't hurt to have options!

what are the chances

East Coast Cycle here in Bensalem, Pa. ( just outside of Philadelphia) has
2 used 2012 RT-S' s for sale. 1 silver with 1516 miles, $15,888 and a red RT-S with
5469 miles for 17,888. A phone call to them would let you know if they have any new
leftover 2012's since their website like others only shows new 2013 and 2014's.
