• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Air hawk seat ideas

I started with a stock seat . . . added a gelpad and a sheepskin . . . the combination only added about 30 minutes to the length of time I could ride without discomfort. I bought the AirHawk-R in June - took a couple long (350 mile) rides and love it . . . I blew through a tank of gas with no thought of stopping until the low fuel light came on, multiple times . . . I can only say great things about it. Best seat I've ever had. :firstplace:

Airhawks are good seats. The consensus seems to be to get the Airhawk R. I have the Cruiser model (medium) and have not had any issues with it.

The big secret with Airhawk is to sit "in" it and not "on" it. You have to play around with the inflation level until you get it right for you.

they are the way to go , I cut the foam out of my seat to get a normal seat height, make sure you the air hawk on top and not under the leather if you dish your seat out. No pressure spots since I go got it. (I have a t8 spinal cord injury so I can not feel anything below my chest) Its the same as my roho wheelchair cushion.

I and Louise were very unhappy with our Air Hawk seats. They went back. Just could not get comfortable with the squishy out of control feeling. Every turn, the air went to the other side, the seat just would not stay put. Tried lots of air settings and never could get comfortable on it. Using a gel pad for now that helps but plan to get an Ultimate seat for Christmas......

and in the for sale....I'm selling an Airhawk Medium Cruiser cheep. The neoprene model. I didn't much like it, used it once, initial impression was good but as the ride got longer...nope...

I didn't like it, tried it for a couple of weeks on some 300 mile rides and could not get comfortable. played with the air constantly, couldn't find the sweet spot.
I sent it back

I've found out with mine that it takes almost no air to make it work. Too much air causes discomfort, and zero air does nothing. Add just a little, and it's perfect. It really does help on longer rydes.
