• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Advise please! SM10 works fine. paired for intercom, telephone and GPS. Power up the Dongle and get the red blue light. Push and hold the button to go into pairing mode but no flashing lights. Helmets are flashing blue red waiting for pairing. What am I missing? Thank you for your response.

My guess is you left it on and it's dead. Take it off and charge it. Is the small red light on when you turn it on? When a dongle is fully charged the small red light turns blue....just like the headsets. I've accidently left my dongle on and it goes dead without the bike running. Good luck::thumbup:

BTW: Manual has a lot to be desired :yikes::yikes::yikes:, here's the pairing instructions from the SENA Tech I contacted:

Hi Jim,
The SM10 connects Via A2DP, your smart phone (android or iOS) has A2DP and HFP, the SMH10 has only 1 A2DP and 2 HFP channels.
You can pair your SMH10 to the SM10 via Phone Pairing, first delete the Sena Pairing on the phone first. Then
1 Power on SMH10
2 Hold the Phone button (small button on the back) for 5 seconds until you hear phone pairing
Then Set SM10 to headset #1 pairing
1 Power on SM10
2 Hold Center button for 5 seconds until Blue Light Flashes
And wait for the headset to pair with the SM10
Then Pair Smart Phone to SMH10 via Multi Point Pairing
1 Power On SMh10
2 Hold Jog Dial button until you hear Intercom Pairing then release and with in 2 seconds press the Small Phone button on the back. you will hear her say "Multipoint Pairing"
Then on phone perform a scan or search for device and when you see SMH10 on the phone select it to begin the pairing.
Now you will have SMH10 paired with SM10 and Smartphone, however you will not be able to listen to music on the Smartphone only phone calls and all media will come from SM10, however you can still connect phone via 3.5mm to SM10 to listen to music on your phone along side another other media you wish to connect to the SM10.

Reset?

I dont have the Dongle, so I dont know for sure. But do they have the small hole in them for the reset like the headsets do? You may have to do that. I thought one of my headsets was junk after just 2 months. It would not even turn on. I contacted Sena support and was instructed to plug it into the the charger and when the charge light came on push the reset. Now it works perfect again.

Thank you all for your replies. I didn't realize it was only charging while the spyder is running or the key on. :banghead: I'm charging it now and will let you know the results. Thanks again.

You did not share what model or year of :spyder2: your SM10 is in, so I am not sure you can do this. Plug in the 12v charger that comes in the kit with your SM10 into your unswitched 12V socket (If you have one). Unplug the power line from the radio and plug charger in instead. This way the SM10 always has power. This is what I do and it works great. I never shut the SM10 off. Everytime I turn on the headset it pairs up every automatically every time.

:2thumbs:Same here. Works much better than the BRP way of shutting off its power with the bike. The SM10 was not intended to be powered that way.
