• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Discovered a Problem...

With the help of my customers.

My supplier sent me some boxes of oil drain plug washers that were the wrong size. The boxes were marked correctly and I did not notice the difference. You just don't expect this kind of thing.

I dump several boxes together because the washers don't take up much room in the box they come in. So, I have been randomly supplying the wrong washer for the Reservoir drain plug. I am very sorry about this.

If you have recently purchased an oil filter/seal kit from me please check the skinny washer for size. It should be 14mm ID (the fat one, not affected in this situation, is 12mm ID). You can use a 14mm open end wrench to check size if you don't happen to have a caliper. The ones I've been sending out (to some customers) are only 12mm ID and this will not work.

There are 2 possible solutions.

1- Let me know and I will send out the correct washer if you got the wrong one.
2- You can reuse the existing washer. It will work just fine unless it is really torn up.

Again, sorry for the aggravation if you're one of the unlucky ones.

Now it's time to complain to my supplier... and make a note to check the washers before shipping...

thanks for letting everyone know. Hope you get it all sorted out soon..

The sorting a far as shipping the correct parts from here on out is done. I'll be interested to see what the supplier thinks is a reasonable solution.

There is an easier way to check and see if you received the wrong Reservoir washer. Not sure why I didn't think of this sooner.

If both washers have the same ID (Inside Diameter), then you need to let me know and I will replace the Reservoir washer. If one washer has a larger ID, then you have the correct set.

Hope this helps clear things up.
