• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Download Music from a MAC to the ZUMO 660

Two questions

I have a New 2013 RT Limited (leftover)

1. What is the max size of the micro sd card for the ZUMO 660

2. I have a MAC, how do I download music from the MAC to the ZUMO 660. I understand the ITUNES is MP4 and the ZUMO is MP3

I would just like to point out that the Spyder radio will only play mono from the Zumo 660. If I remember correctly it plays the left channel out all speakers and the right channel is gone. Been there done that. Now if you are going to use it as your music device with a wireless headset that may work.

665LM plays stereo. Bluetooth, headset etc.

Buy a cheap used iPod. The spyder should have come with the cable to plug it into the front trunk.

If I want to play music thru the Radio on the Spyder, I use a small iPod in the trunk. If I want music from my bluetooth headsets, I has a 32gb card in my Zumo 660.

The biggest flaw is the way the Zumo audio plays through the radio. You can not select GPS, it interrupts only. Let's say you're listening to the radio/iPod, a GPS direction is announced, the system detects sound and interrupts the radio/iPod so you can hear the direction.

If you're listening to music played on the Zumo, the spyder plays this in interrupt mode, if you have a silent spot or even the gaps in the tracks the radio will cut in when the GPS sound lowers because it thinks the directions have finished. You now have radio sounds played in interrupt mode.

Find a cheap MP3 player or cheap/used iPod much better intergration.

You can mute the radio by holding the down volume button so that you don't have the radio filling in the silent spaces. But I do agree the music player is the better route to go

Youre right just mute the radio. But it still is only mono.

Zumo 660

Thank you everyone, I have the new S20's ordered from Motorcycle Dave and plan on using the FM receiver from the headset and just using the ZUMO as the GPS and MP3 player for Music.
