Actually; we're gonna have to sharpen up our eyeballs, and keep an eye out for unauthorized pics of the 2015s...
The 2014 sneak shots appeared at the beginning of last July...

So start getting ready!!
Yep, at the prices the 2013's are going for today, there's a substantial price difference - at least $9000 (which is the figure that started this thread). Dealer I visited said he would discount the 2014 by only $500 or so. That's how much in demand they are. He said he can still get 2013's to sell (not sure whether he meant from BRP or from other dealers). That is why he said he could only give me about $15 - $16,000 on my bike on a trade. It's not so much the KBB value that's the problem as much as the $4000 factory rebate. Maybe when the new 2013's are fully depleted, the resale value will level out.No draw Bob :lecturef_smilie: The 2013 is a better deal than the 2014. I was a little surprised with one of the above comments about the brakes. They are the same on both years Brembo's all around so how could the stopping power be different, especially with the heavier 2014,
As for a the sport models, there is a very affordable "beginner model" that is supposed to be hitting the line in 2015, according to advance information my dealer has.Doubt the big news will have anything to do with the RT this year / My guess is the sport models are getting the big motor n 6 sp trans
I've got to disagree with you on that. I do think you'll live long enough. I never rode a Wing, but if memory serves, the 1330 triple I rode today was about as smooth as the Honda Valkyrie I spent a day with a few years back. (The Valkyrie is the "cruiser" version of the Wing - without all the cowlings.)I think the way our current bike works, we will be keeping it until Can Am comes out with something as smooth and reliable as a wing, but being 57 already, I doubt I'll live long enough.
:agree:That said, NOBODY is calling the 2013 RT junk. It's a GREAT ride. It's just that, like you said, they do seem to get better every year.
When do we start the bickering between the 2014 vs the 2015???? I might just have a horse in that race. 2015 of course and the beat goes on the next year between the 2015 vs the 2016. And so it goes. I guess that's human nature to brag on what you've got.:chat:

But the fun is in trying to find useful information prior to any official announcements anyway...![]()
What was the name of the website, that broke the 2014 RT news last year? :dontknow:
We got the pictures in here right before July 4th...[/QUOTE
OK Bob you have 16 posts on this thread. Honestly how many times did you vote in the poll??? Be honest now!:roflblack::joke:
Uno... nojoke
And less maintenance with the 14's.....main reason I went with the 14 along with the upgrades. Here are some points to ponder.
:ani29:: A savings of $9,000 is some serious money.
:ani29:: The 2013 models had some heat issues. You may or may not end up with one of those.
:ani29:: New technology on the 2014's. 3 cylinder 1330cc engine vs. 2 cylinder 998cc engine. 6 speed gearbox vs. 5 speed gearbox.
:ani29:: More wow posts on the 14's vs. many complaint posts on the 13's.
Others will come on with ideas. My best suggestion is to test drive and see which one has the best "vibes" (in a good way) for you.
... and how the two bikes compare...
The 998 RTs usually scamper right up to about 97 mph...
...and then take their sweet time getting to the ton!
I decided to give the 1330 a quick snort of speed, in a spot where the 998 never reached over 98 mph...
The bike jumped right up to 97; just like it's predecessor...
...and then kept pulling!
It made it to the ton with room to spare on this shorter, slightly uphill grade.
It went from 97, to 100 mph in about a third of the time that the 998s took for the same increase.
It's still no rocketship; but these hamsters definitely have bigger muscles! :2thumbs:
