• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Trailer Insurance

I just picked up the new 2014 Rt622 to pull behind 2014 Rt. So I need to get it insured and I am finding out that if I am away from home and the trailer is not hooked to the Rt it is not insured. I was planning on going out west and parking it at the hotel and travel around for a couple of days but if it is not insured I guess I will have to re-think this over.

Has anybody had this issue?

Thanks

You need to have a discussion with your insurance agent...

Depending on the State; LIABILITY insurance will extend from the towing vehicle. Physical Damage coverage for it is usually required to be specifically added for the trailer.

Most homeowner policies cover loss or theft of your belongings while you travel. If you bike and homeowner insurance are with the same company, suggest you have a talk with your agent. I have and am covered. As Bob said, the tow vehicle liability insurance covers while towing.

For $45 for the year; leave it on...
Is the added effort of remembering to put it on; really worth th savings? :dontknow:

When we were on trips towing a trailer, we put the trailer in a local storage locker when not using it.

Yeah, it cost a bit, but it was peace of mind.

I never unhook the trailer when traveling... now I wonder what my $16 insurance policy covers.

I am impressed. Our policy is $95 for a year!! But when you compare to the Spyder insurance that some have to pay, I will keep that bill.

Mine is $16 for 6 months so $32 a year. I have $250 deductible comprehensive and collision. The Spyder is $275 a year.
