• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Spyder ST park brake button

I noticed the ST has a semi automatic park brake on the dash. Easy to perhaps bump. I was wondering what would happen if you accidentally hit the button going 70 down the highway?

Nothing. It only operates below a certain speed. I can't remember what speed, but it's single figures.

I believe the parking brake function is completely non-functional when the Spyder is in gear and moving down the road. It should not engage at any speed.

It works in 1st, reverse and neutral. Just won't engage at speed.

It will engage on a very slow roll..like starting to roll down a driveway....I know :roflblack:

Check the M.O.M. for the exact speed at which it will no longer engage, but I think it was 5mph or less.

I've done the brake check too :yes: It'll even let you start to rev the motor up a little before you realize something's preventing you from moving :roflblack:

As I see it..!!

The best thing is don't bump the button...:roflblack::roflblack: Had to say it...relax you will be fine. They have safety features to prevent that from happening...
