• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Anyone have any suggestions for places to tent camp in Missouri, Tennessee or Kentucky? Smaller sites are preferred.

Any suggestions on equipment that we can stuff into the RT622 would be helpful as well.

Seems after our 3,096 mile trip to Key West it has broadened our horizons and we think we want to get back to camping again. And like a dummy a few years ago I gave away all my camping gear after we sold the pontoon boat...

It looks like there are a ton of places and floating is pretty big there. My wife and I were considering go down in the fall on our RT.

You can also go to Pierre Marquette in Grafton, IL. Lots to do there and nearby.

Onondaga Cave State Park 7556 State Hwy H Leasburg, MO 65535 looks like an interesting place to camp.

Those are some nice looking cabins, I'll keep that in mind when we travel again. What does a cabin like that cost per day?

We are looking for nice places to tent camp and the camp is the destination.

Since I have had both my knees replaced once i'm on the ground I need a crane to get up again....so I camp on VISA....

i just booked one for July 4th down in DC and they where about $125 a night and the second one i booked in TN for $42 some place are high they are nice come with A/c and Heat i like them better then hotel at least you have your bike just out site your cab unlike in a hotel we are members and get 10% off if your going to use them your better off getting the membership i hqve been with them sense 2002

The Nashville KOA is some busy campground like a mini city... we are looking for more out of the way places to go like the Taum Sauk Mountain State Park.

Here is an out of the way place and quiet. Yes, it is in Kansas...the NE corner of Kansas....just over the Missouri/Kansas line (around 30-40 miles). http://www.ssresort.com/index.html Also, it is just a mile south of the Nebraska line. check out their other web pages too. They have a couple of health springs. A creek. Hiking. Skating rink. Miniature golf. Tennis. Volleyball. Basketball. Bring a tent, an rv, or rent a cabin, or a hotel room.

We are here presently! At least during the week it is quiet. The owners (Dale and Betty) are very nice and sweet. Ask Dale to give you a tour of the hotel and other buildings. He will gladly do it. They are in their middle 80's. Today is their 64 wedding anniversary! They have this place up for sale! What they need is a Spyder! LOL

A nice place to be....if you decide you want to drive your Spyder that far!!!!

That looks like a neat place to camp and only 473 miles from Poplar Bluff. We just finished up 3,096 mile trip to Key West on the GL1800 with 575 miles on day 1 so I think we are up for it. Could be part of trip to the North...

The Yurts were awesome. I'd totally live in one. It was probably better than my first apartment by a long shot. We were there when it was cold enough to run the gas fireplace after getting out of the hot tub. The people were great. The gas grill each yurt was perfect for some grilling. They also have books and DVDs to borrow to watch in each unit.

Interestingly enough the first night we were there they had severe thunderstorms all night with 40-60mph sustained winds and torrential rain. At first it was a bit freaky being in a "tent" but after about 10 minutes, we realized the yurt was perfectly fine. No water got in and we didn't blow away!

You're pretty close to some decent size cities; however, Chester is a one horse town for sure but in VERY pretty country. The yurts themselves are located in an awesome spot. Getting to them is another story. You last 2 or 3 miles is on gravel and the last mile or so is a one lane road with some wild hills and few ruts. We rented a car for the trip and I commented no-way the Spyder could do this. Soon as we arrived, we saw a Spyder with trailer and several other 2-wheelers as well. So, it must be possible.

Gas didn't seem to exist in Chester so I'd filled up as often as possible in that area if you go. Also, Devil's Den is really a great park. Very beautiful with lots to do if you are inclined to do a lot.
