I need trailer to bring home Spyder

I think Spyder is 59.5 inches from outer edge of rim to rim. Be sure it will fit the U-Haul trailer by pre measuring. You will need their 6x12 open trailer.

My Spyder is going back to the dealer tomorrow.
This is what I'm using. I rented it for $50.00 a day.
I used 3 2x10 boards for ramps and 2 people were able to load it easily.
(Not able to start it)
Hope this helps. I needed an enclosed unit as you can tell with all the white stuff on the ground and roads. Gonna be a while yet before my first ride.

hmmm..ok, my trailer is 6x10..6 wide and 10 long...all the way to the loading ramp, which is also 6 wide..mine is an open trailer, maybe ur talking about a closed trailer,i was thinking open

Yeah, the biggest Uhaul open trailer with ramps has side rails that wrap around the back, opening is only 54 inches. To get my Spyder on one of their trailers, I had to go to the biggest flat bed, with a full width gate at the back, no ramps. Could have put 4 Spyders on it.

I got lucky and bought a 6x10 home made trailer on CL. It's build by a welder like a brick house. Came with ramps too. 6 inches of clearance on each side. Fit the Spyder like a glove.

Hey I can answer this one!!! I used a Uhaul trailor to bring home my Spyder from NC to PA (8 hours each way!) in the pouring rain. I had originally reserved a 6' x 12' open trailor but I went to look at it 2 days before we were to leave and found that the opening of the trailor was only like 50-55"s. So they had a 6' x 12' enclosed trailor on their lot and at first I thought no way will it fit. But I measured it to be 60.5 or 61" The spyder is 59.75 wide. Needless to say it was close as he!! but I got it in there I was freaking worried though when the dealer, my buddy and I started pushing it up the ramps onto the
trailoropcorn:. Just have one person dedicated to each side's fender and you'll be ok. Make sure you bring extra rachet tie downs though because the trailor I got didn't have ones at the back by the door. We had to improvise and come up with a few trick ways to strap it down for the ride home.

I drove down in the pouring rain, drove home in the pouring rain, got in a traffic jam in DC but the next morning was a beautiful sunny day for my first ride on the Spyder!:clap:

Or you could just take the front fenders off and gain another 2" or so of clearance.

We thought about that as well. Hindsight, a very good idea. Would definitely make it much easier:cheers:
