• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Can Am Spyder Lift.

i have a big blue for when i had my wing, i wonder if i could get the parts for the spyder. i have to call them

it looks interesting and costly. I looked around the internet and it looks like it is about $515.00 plus shipping. if my conversion form pounds to dollars is close. its about 395 pounds. So I don't know if that is do able for a lot of people.

on one of the websites it says you get one set of attachments for your bike free with purchase. SO, I don't know if that means what you need for teh spyder or not.

Very nice..!!

That is a well thoughtout and made lift. Worth the investment if you don't have any lift system. :2thumbs:

:agree: You only have to have the Spyder land on your chest once ; and you'll understand how expensive; "cheap", can truly be! :2thumbs:

It would not be close to my standard. Might be alright for the casual use, but the drive system looks subject to early failure for any prolonged use.

Searching for Lift Information

When searching for lift information, you might be confused by the different websites. Many of these are affiliated with Quasar Products Limited. All those in RED are really the SAME company.

Pay Attention People

Go back and listen closley to the carefully worded sound track as they describe the "DISPLAY LIFT". There is no way I would put my $30,000 Spyder on that lift nor would I get under the 1000 lb Spyder and yank on a wrench. The foot print is way to small for that thing to be stable enough to do maintenance on a Can Am Spyder. We'll be reading about the serious injuries or worse when people start doing other than " DISPLAYING" their Spyders.

The one above might be more for display, but the big blue should serve its purpose for general maintenance. I have had some in depth conversations with the Canadian distributor and he says they have been in use for a few years. After doing a lot of reviewing I have ordered one and he emailed me today to say the Spyder mounts are now available and he should be shipping it shortly! I have a small area to work on my Spyder, so this should be perfect! I will post some thoughts on it once I have assembled and put it to use. I think it will be more stable then a Jack!

Please do post a review and take some pics of putting it together, loading it and using. I too am considering this lift.
