• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Key Copying Instructions

Several keys for several bikes. Several of my friends want a spare key to put away in case of emergencies.

That's cool.

I remember back in my Seadoo days the wife and I had 2 very good friends that we used to go Jet Skiing w/ every weekend and even take trips together to camp at lakes. We each had different bikes and would ride each others all the time.

We had the dealer program all 4 Seadoos to the same keys. It was great just keeping a single lanyard on your vest and being able to jump on whichever boat and go riding.

Unfortunately those friends moved away, I miss good friends like that. :(

.

I'm looking for some good copies, because you can he them with a spot to hook a keychain, that's already in place.

well that did not work, but now i think it is because Snoopy has an ST or AN RS and not a RT, anybody out there with a RT service manual that can look it up??????

The key programming procedure is the same for all models and all years. Did it do the same for you as it did for Gray Ghost and give you the bad key message.

It is for all models, but it is for a 2013. :(

Something must have changed for the 2014's in this regard. :(

No, it never did show "master" on the cluster

joe
. You need to read the instructions over and over and keep your keys separated
And number each key with a piece of tape, you can loose the program on the keys if you don't follow the instructions.

Ok, i did not keep the keys separate, let me try that.

ok on the retry i never got a "master" notification but after i put the master key in a white speedometer looking light in the upper left hand corner of the cluster on came on so i acted like that was the "Master" notice and put the clonable (supposedly) key in and got a DSS message

the Clonable key i am trying is a JMA spain ZA-9.P

Lets start over. You are confusing 2 different procedures that you cannot mix up. For there is a procedure for programming your Spyder to accept a new chipped key. Then there is a procedure for cloning a cloneable key as a copy of a programmed key.

You have JMA clonable keys and they are useless until they are put through a cloning machine. Then there is no need for the master key or the programming procedure.

If you want to program more keys into your Spyder you need to get BRP blanks or blanks that have a regular transponder chip that each transmit a unique code. Then you use the master key.

The JMA clonable key does not have a chip?? that just shows my ignorance, i was under the assumption that clonable and chipped keys were the same thing.

A clonable key has a chip but it has not been set to transmit a code until it goes into a cloning machine that the locksmith has. The machine will make it transmit the same code as another key. (Cloning)

BRP blanks have a chip that transmit a unique code for each key from the day they are made. The programming procedure on the Spyder tells it to accept the code that new key transmits.
