Several keys for several bikes. Several of my friends want a spare key to put away in case of emergencies.

well that did not work, but now i think it is because Snoopy has an ST or AN RS and not a RT, anybody out there with a RT service manual that can look it up??????

The key programming procedure is the same for all models and all years. Did it do the same for you as it did for Gray Ghost and give you the bad key message.

No, it never did show "master" on the cluster

. You need to read the instructions over and over and keep your keys separatedNo, it never did show "master" on the cluster

. You need to read the instructions over and over and keep your keys separated
And number each key with a piece of tape, you can loose the program on the keys if you don't follow the instructions.
Ok, i did not keep the keys separate, let me try that.

ok on the retry i never got a "master" notification but after i put the master key in a white speedometer looking light in the upper left hand corner of the cluster on came on so i acted like that was the "Master" notice and put the clonable (supposedly) key in and got a DSS message
the Clonable key i am trying is a JMA spain ZA-9.P

Lets start over. You are confusing 2 different procedures that you cannot mix up. For there is a procedure for programming your Spyder to accept a new chipped key. Then there is a procedure for cloning a cloneable key as a copy of a programmed key.
You have JMA clonable keys and they are useless until they are put through a cloning machine. Then there is no need for the master key or the programming procedure.
If you want to program more keys into your Spyder you need to get BRP blanks or blanks that have a regular transponder chip that each transmit a unique code. Then you use the master key.
I'm totally confused over all of this.
The JMA clonable key does not have a chip?? that just shows my ignorance, i was under the assumption that clonable and chipped keys were the same thing.
