There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Insurance for new Spyder

I made a few calls today and Allstate offers a very good policy for $349 a year, including towing. State farm has a good price too, but Allstate's was better. Very happy and now will be buying my Spyder this week.

I just got pretty much the same deal with Allstate. We just sent over all the docs a few days ago for a March 1 transition away from state farm. I was at about $490 with state farm.

I wish I knew how you were getting those rates w Allstate, mine is twice that w/ an excellent record and excellent credit. :banghead:

As soon as the policy is up I can go w/ riders insurance for 1/2 what Allstate is for same coverage!

Man the wife and I must be getting raped, two RT's, 2012 RTLIMITED and 2013 RTS through Dairyland we are paying 1600 a year.

That's what I'm talking about.

Everyone on here must be lying or they are 85 years old and never had a ticket in there life and their bike isn't financed....and they're sleeping w/ the insurance agent. LOL

.

It pays to shop around the insurance for your spyder along with getting quotes for your home, auto, life, etc with the same insurance agent.

I just did this with my agent that has been doing my spyder insurance for the past year and now has saved me almost $600 a year by doing all of my insurance through him. I was shocked at the savings!

Doesn't always work. I got my current agent to get me a combined quote. Since the HO insurance company doesn't do ATVs the best she could get me would have cost me about $200 a year more than I'm paying now. HO is with Grainger and M/C and ATV would have been Progressive. All of the increase would have been for the motorcycle and ATV coverage. So I stayed with GEICO.

Move to WA...ugh

And I thought I was getting stung because my policy for my 2013 RT cost me $219/yr with Geico compared to the $116/yr for my 2005 Goldwing! Maybe it's my age and multiple vehicles that helps, 69 and the 'wing and an ATV plus now the RT.

I am paying $276 on my '10 RTSE5...with a $1000 deductible..no accidents/no tickets .And I shop for my insurance. Sure does vary by the state.. Geico wanted almost $600 for same coverage and I have my truck & house with Geico....I've got prices for my new '14.....sheesh!!!!!

41 years old, no tickets, not financed.....no comment....Lol

Change now. You don't have to wait for expiration. They have to refund you the unused portion of the premium.

My understanding w Allstate is that the policy is paid for the year and if I drop it there is no refund?

Definitely different than my auto insurance w them, not sure why?

That is if I heard right?

True with motorcycle but not with auto.
I am paying my motorcycle as a single lump sum but my auto is month to month.
I figure if I pay the lump for the motorcycle there wouldn't be any reason to change until renewal time. Re-evaluate it year to year.

I pay pay month to month for the MC insurance also, but my understanding is no refund if I drop it early. Kinda weird

Snoopy.
:lecturef_smilie: You're forgetting one VERY important factor:
Most of the folks in here have had the motorcycle licenses for decades...
...you haven't... :opps:

Good to have a choice...

At least you guys have a choice of insurance companies! Here in the UK, a country with dozens of insurance
underwriters and thousands of brokers, there is only ONE company which will insure a Spyder and the underwriter
is in Gibraltar!

I see a lot of low ball quotes. The only way to compare is to look at total coverage. How much deductible, how much replacement cost ,etc. I pay the better part of a G note and we don't have a whole lot of companies to select from.:dontknow:

Me Too...

I just got the endorsement in on my own policy...
$732 for the 2014 Limited
it was $405 for the 2010 A&C

Time to look at some avenues for this coverage...

I too am paying over $700, but for my '08 GS. I do have to admit that much of that is due to the fact that i've picked up a couple of speeding tickets on the Spyder in the last year. Sure, I was exceeding the limit, but where I live, the city is increasing their revenue by posting officers on strategic locations and writing twice the amount of tickets than what they wrote 12 months before (according to a published report in the Sacramento newspaper). Again, I was breaking the law by speeding, but it chaps my hide that the city gains revenue at the expense of drivers/ryders. Rant done...:banghead:

Since radar detectors are legal in almost every state I often wonder why more people don't have them?

Unless you were hit w laser of course. Lol
