• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Raise'n Heli...MEN INCREASE YOUR RISER BY 4.5"

I had the 1" BRP riser installed. Also have Corbin seats and back rest in which are fixing to be installed soon. I am still leaning forward some with the 1" riser. Will the backrest be useless without bringing the handle bars back?

I have 1" riser from BRP...for me, no need for more...I know others like NMN's 3 and 4 inch risers...

Do the 1" brp risers bring the handlebar back at all?

I guess before I buy any risers I'll need to sit on the bike, which I'll be picking up in a month; already paid for.

No. They just raise the bar. I'm 6'4". The 1" Riser is great for me. I really like this riding position. Some people would rather sit more upright, or lean back some. It's all in what you like. For me, this makes the Spyder a nice cross between the 'sport' riding position, and 'touring'.

And, also note; I have the Ultrasport windshield. I like the wind!

IMO they make the Spyder look ridiculous. :barf:

i hear that ....i was offered first set free if they could use my spyder as prototype after seeing the:coffee: mickey mouse set up with the blank in the middle of the bars where ignition was and the new position for ignition i was happy i made decision not to do it i like the way it sits with one inch factory spacer but i have to say i've been looking into kewlmetal bars for girlfriends spyder not taking anything away from magicman but if she decides she doesnt like the new height i can go back to stock ....

Just my opinion, but I have the 1" BRP riser and the Corbin seat and with it like this, you are foward enough the backresst is useless. When I installed the NMN 3" risers, it made the riding postion almost perfect for me, everyone will be different. The backrest is now useful.

Actually, the 1" riser brings the bars both up and back, but not a full inch either way. The inch is at the angle of the steering shaft, so it comes up abour 2/3" and back about 1/3", by my dead reckoning. Not enough either way to make a huge difference, but sufficient to make my wife more comfortable when she rides. She does slide forward on the seat a bit, though. I asked her if she wanted some 3" risers, but she declined.

A riser question

I have followed any number of threads on risers and I have a question. Bear with me as I am new with this motorbike stuff.

What does a higher handlebar accomplish? I sit very comfortably upright on my Spyder and I am 5' 8". My stock seat is comfortable enough with my Indian Taxi Driver beaded seat cover. (Yes it looks goofy but I sit on it so who is going to see it?)

I see HD guys going down the road with Ape Hangers and this seems like the ultimate handle bar riser. It also looks bloody uncomfortable and dangerous. So why would I or anyone want to put in ever higher risers? What am I missing here?

Apes are COOL......:doorag:

Only on certain bikes.......:yikes:

Way too expensive!

Compared to No Magic.
Got the 4" risers and have to say that this is close to the top of the list, as far as improvements to the :spyder2:.

I see your set up with Helibars, do you like them?
I'm 5'10" looks like you would get more wind in your face the more upright
you sit...
Regards Motza

That's not my Spyder. I did see them and I didn't much care for them. I love my No Magic 4" risers though. :doorag:
