There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Spyderhaters Forum

I'm a bit of a "purist" when it comes to my ice cream... no toppings; just coffee or peanut butter ice cream is all that I need.
Well; that, and a spoon!!

The older I get, the more it seems like I can't eat much ice cream...especially after dinner time...it just keeps me up at night for some reason. :dontknow:

I do like to sneak in a Klondike bar here and there....

Ice Cream is not the solution the Spyders problem. I appreciate your desire to hijack the thread but let it run it's course it is therapeutic to those who are having problems let us vent puuleeze.

I have a '13 ST-S that has had it's share of heat issues that are now under control thanks to my dealer and BRP. But as DrewNJ just said, what if the 2014 RT's end up having some serious issues? This time next year there could be a lot of posts from '14 RT owners about problems they are having. I truly hope not, but with a new engine and tranny who knows?

I sure hope the 14's roll out good....otherwise Bob will have 100,000 posts by mid July....:yikes::joke:

i really feel this tread should of never started, from what i can see it has started bad feelings between a few people, i personally don't give a :cus: what people think of other peoples problems, if it helps the person to vent fine let them vent with out trying to put the people down by complaining about it. my bike has problems and i will continue to tell my story, i found out the other day that the site has a ignore option so why not use it. i have deleted a few treads that people were not happy with so i just stopped and realized why upset someone and took them down, some people should learn to do the same. if you delete your own post it is not considered censorship it is considered courtesy. i don't wish bad on anyone but just put yourself in the shoes of the people having problems if it ever happened to you, and steve from brp told me personally on the phone that it is his job to read this and other forums so i will continue to complain if i develop problems and if everyone ignores me at least i know steve will see what i am posting. have a good evening folks and feel free to talk about me. ;)

It's not the posts about the problems that has made things kind of depressing. It's the lack of posts about problems being resolved. When we see a true diagnosis for the cause of the 2013 heat issues along with a workable and fair solution for those owners, this place would be measurably happier. When I had problems when I first bought my bike, knowing there was a place to post what what going on and get advice from knowledgable people was the only thing that kept me grounded. I agree, if it gets to be too much, take a break. But I sure can appreciate people expressing their feelings and issues here. As long as it stays respectful, it is appropriate.

I'm beginning to believe some people just like to see them self type. You say the thread should be taken down but now you continue to go on and on and on about the same thing you've been talking about for days and days and days. Say something new, tell us a joke, anything , not just the same thing over and over.

i do

from time to time i post jokes and post vids but if you want me to stop posting my problems sorry, i can't do that some people really have good ideas that might help. i have learned a lot on here from some really smart people when it comes to spyders. than you find some haters that like to pick on people when they are down. i try really hard to hold back because to be honest i really have a bad mouth and love the site so i hold back. just give us a brake when we have problems and ignore us when we complain. i have done plenty of ideas from what i have read to no avail, i have spent money on suggestions, i have talked to brp and to steve from brp personally, and i just spent over 1,500 dollars for vents and paint to try and fix my bike. so just cut a few people some slack and live with the complaints, that's all i ask, or lets start a section for people with just 2013 rt's

Every year when BRP makes the new model announcements, there are people who quickly jump on the bandwagon and praise the different changes that have been made to "improve" the Spyder. Many make their well-intentioned remarks based upon a few observations, a quick ride, or they buy into the product promotional material. Have you ever read Consumer Reports? When a new model is introduced or an old model redesigned, they refuse to give it a "reliability" rating because there's no "real" history.

Someone asks "can't we complain when we spent $30,000 and we are having problems?" Sure you can complain if that makes you feel better. Complain away. I'm not forced to read your comments. I actually want to read your comments so that I do not make the same mistake you may have made in buying a new model.

The excitement about the 2014 models has begun! How many posts have we already read from those rushing out to buy this untested vehicle? Look at the heating problems for the 2013 models – couldn't someone (at BRP) anticipated the problems the new design would have caused? Redirecting the heat away from the rider and towards the engine compartment was a recipe for disaster! Throw in a few extra plastic parts and what have you got? Did the BRP engineers get their degrees from a college in the Dominican Republic?

I love my 2012 Spyder RT-S SM-5. Trouble-free and a joy to ride! Why would I buy a 2014? At least wait six months after it's been released so that others can test drive it for you beyond what the factory does! Then read the comments here to find out how the new models are actually performing.

If you roll the dice and buy early, please share your experiences here! But don't complain! You knew you were buying an untested model and you took the gamble!

The 2013 models will certainly become an odd duck in the Spyder community. A flawed redesign that only lasted a year!

Seems to me..!!

that the problem is where to post.. I have been there (not with brp) and went to forums and posted for help. Much like here the fine folks gave me their help but in the end I needed to go higher up or to the source for the final solution. The more you post your problem in a place that has given you all they have the more frustrated you get. All they have left is sympathy. That will not get it done. Those that have no problem will shy away for they don't want to make you feel worse but it also does not make them not care or not feel they have a great machine...jmo...

Well.... we won't be 'venting here any more ' the spyder will either be fixed by brp or go to lemon law. or I will dump it for a major loss and take the hicky for buying a crap bike. Will buy something else for FB to ride....a spyder will not be in the running if they don't fix the '13. Glad y'all are enjoying your trouble free spyders. Bless your hearts..That's a nice way of saying.... well I won't say it...... Out

Nothing spells BRP abandoning the 2013s like the release of the 2014s. Add to that the big sell off and deep discounts adding salt to their wounds and it's easy to see why there's so much negativity here lately. To me, rewarding BRP by dumping 2013s they made a huge profit on for 2014s they will again make huge profits on seems a bit counter productive.

I fully understand the frustration with buying something and not being able to use it. I've been there. But why reward them with doubling your losses and BRP gains? There would be far more productiveness in holding their feet to the fire so to speak for a resolution, then maximizing their gains by rushing to their next promise....

Very sorry you two have had such a bad experience and am equally disapointed at the lack of understanding from some here. Especially those who may have been of assistance but instead, let the bus run you over. Sad!

It's almost becoming depressing to log onto this forum lately. I truly feel for all the 2013 owners who have a machine with heat issues, and I've heard many of you voice your concerns a time or two on here. I don't want to be disrespectful to anyone's opinions, but there is this small handful of people who vent about the same issue day after day after day.
No worries you will not hear from us until the bike is fixed....The good news for you is.. if the the bike is not fixed, you will not hear from us either.... good luck. I think I will pass on the ice cream.
