Interesting... Might be why I do not want the new radio
I have been reading posts about some people having problems I never have with my radio. Mine is the older one that requires the black box in the iPod integration cable. I never see many people posting issues with this radio version! Yet the new radios all seem to have a few reported problems.
1) Loosing settings after shut down.
2) Loosing presets
3) Issues with Sena SM10 connection and it stops putting audio out to the SM10.
4) Now this interesting post but it is like #1 above. It loosing settings in the radio!
The manufacturer of this radio I BET has code updates that BRP has not rolled out. I have emailed them back and forth a few times and they just will not share any info with me for a Spyder as they say it is proprietary to BRP. But they did allude to a update they have! Since this probably cannot be updated through BUDs and the radio must be removed and WHO KNOWS what tools are needed to update the radio code, I suspect BRP will probably never do anything about it
In the end they DO offer users to send the radio in for repair and get it updated.....

I think I am kind of glad I have the older radio
