When I first started riding two-wheelers... wore high-top hiking boots... then switched to Harley Davidson Women's 6" Starter Dual Zipper Front boots and continue to wear them now that I have the :spyder2:. http://www.hottrackscycle.com/index29.html#82106-L

Love these boots .... they're not waterproof... BUT are very comfortable for walking... not hot... fit my wide foot... AND easy on/off! Carry rain covers for traveling. Wear low-top waterproof hikers for a short local rides.

SAS - either slip ons, tie ons or sneakers. Have to wear socks with them which is a pain in the summer!!! Wear Thorlos socks - wish they weren't so expensive:yikes:. The only time I wore my sandals to ryde I almost got sunburned feet!!! Ouch!!!

Another vote for Doc Martens

With the bouncing (cushioned) soles. Good protection on the bike and very comfortable to walk in all day long.....

I use Clarks Climbing boots. They well padded, strong sole, and water tight .

I have looked at these, are they comfortable walking? and are they lightweight. I like a lightweight boot so I can feel the brake pedal.
