dumb questions about magicflex LED channelz.....

I was wondering if that light is bothersome to you when you're riding at night? They look awesome but when you're trying to look out for critters do they kinda shine in your eyes decreasing night vision out ahead of you? What kind of wire hacking do you have to do to get them wired for running lights and into turn signal? They look like the ultimate for visibility for turn signals

I have the TricLED channel lights, and they took a while to get used to. When I first installed them, the biggest problem I had was because the mirrors on the RT are mounted lower than I'm used to, I would see the fender lights in my peripheral vision, and the brain told me a car was behind me. Once I consciously looked, I realized it was just the fender lights.

That was my only issue. Sometimes, they still get me, but I'm getting used to them - or my behavior has changed.... not sure which.

The question has been asked before. I believe SpyderAnn said it would take a few hours to get used to and that is what we found. I will tell you this....it makes you more visible to others!!!

I definitely agree!!! Makes it more visible to others AND looks cool. I just don't want to rely on the other drivers or the deer seeing me and taking appropriate action

I ride to work at night, and have no problems with glare. They do make the bike itself shine some, but that is why I installed them; to be seen. I do not use mine as blinkers, so can not help with that.

I will take a pic at night, so you can see how they look.

SPYDERS Should Be Seen, And Not Hurt!!!

I installed TricLED Fender Channel Lights (as well as some other LED accents) to the front of the SPYDER. At first, it may have seemed a little distracting, but that was short lived. Being seen by other operators on the road is what I was looking for...and I don't mean that in a show-off cosmetic kind of way. The LED's make sure I am seen, and not hurt!

Lights are lights. I went with TricLED on the advice of a good friend. I later found out about Custom Dynamics from another friend. Fundementally, I would suspect there are little to no differences in the product. Do some homework and find out what you really want, compare, and then buy! Best of luck to you!!!! Don't think one is better than the other but do know that the CD ChannelZs are much brighter than the TricLeds. I have the CD ChannelZs and they are bright and take some getting used to especially at night. I've ridden with them at night and after awhile you get used to them.

I used Tric-Led for front fenders as Custom Dynamics didn't have anything available for a 2013 RT. Only took about 10 minutes of riding to adjust to the light down there. Have had a lot of positive comments from people I know that have seen me on road at night. Have been told that they improve visibility about 100%. There's no doubt where I am and what direction I am going. That was my purpose BE SEEN. it seems to have worked. I had challenge see little green arrows on dash so I placed Tric-Led's on inside upper lip of mirrors they help too as they can be clearly seen from rear and side of bike. It did take a little getting used to especially the ones on the mirrors but I am glad they are there. :spyder2:
