There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. finansial Crisis...

Is there any spyderlover out there who are struck by the financial crisis?. Im lucky to work in an industry not affected by the crisis. But i know that i would sell my car before i would sell my precious spyder.:spyder::spyder::spyder:

Jobwise? Nope, not me (yet). But I have been effected. Groceries are rediculously priced. Eats into our budget. Utility bills are going up - again, eats into our budget. But most of all, our tax dollars are just being handed out to be spent frivolously. Did anyone ask permission for all these bail-outs? Nope. THAT makes me angry.:banghead:

Our state is in a huge black hole and luckily our Governor is trying very hard NOT to raise our taxes. We are high on the list for the highest taxes in the country. I am glad she is trying. But it all boils down to piss poor mismanagement by the government which is no longer By the People, For the People.:cus:

I pay 36% tax.. (no joke) It`s like getting kicked in the b:yikes:lls everythime i get my paycheck. We have a song in norway that goes like this, translated to english: It`s a nice day to pay the tax, yes it`s a nice nice day i didnt sleep last night. :chill: Glad i got my silver three legged power :spyder: to forget all my worries.

I'd say our government has not been "for the People" for a long time.
They took my grandfather's farm in the 1920's as part of Aberdeen Proving Grounds, in Maryland. Actually they took about 40 some farms for that project. Paid half the money promised, then had to file suit against the feds to try and get the rest of the money only to have FDR veto the legislation that would have paid all 40 some families the rest of the money
owed them. But I'm not bitter. OK, I'm done, soap box put away.

Ouch!:yikes: That's alot of money out of your paycheck! We get our share of paycheck taxes too, and we also have to pay vehicle taxes and the newer your vehicle is, the more you pay. Also taxes on our homes. In CT it depends which town you live in. The rates are different for every town. I just don't like seeing our taxes going up and our services not getting any better.

I would try to sell something else before I sell my :spyder:. Guess I could kiss the camper goodbye.

It didn't happen when I lived here but they took a bunch of homes to put in a new road in my town. Scary - Big Brother can take what they want when they want. When we were on a motorcycle trip 2 summers ago, we took the bikes down to VA. On the way back home we headed thru West VA and came upon a family farm w/ a general store. They were having the entire town over for a cookout and proceeds went to saving the farm and some covered bridge. Nicest people I ever met! They invited us over and fed us good! Gov't wanted the land for a new sewage plant. I hope if we ever take that trip again, that the farm and bridge are still there.:dontknow:

Smylinacha,
I would not count on the farm still being there, like you said, when they want it they just take it. My mother-in-law still has 25 acres left of her parents farm where she grew up. The town nearby took 1 acre
of the land for a water tower, did not ask, just said we are taking this parcel from your property. At least they did pay for it.

Yeah, I doubt that farm will be there. Sure they pay but they don't pay enough. I think the best thing we can do is fire ALL of them and start over like that will ever happen. We need people who actually believe in the Constitution. DC has and always will be run by crooks and corruption, same goes for local Big Brother too.

I agree that taxs are to high and gov is not working for the people most of the time but sitting around the kitchen table or the place at work or on this forum and pissing and moaning about all the problems solves nothing.
We "the people" must get involved at the local, state and federal level to make sure our legislators are working for us and if not use our power of the vote to replace them with what we hope will be someone who will work for us.I to shall hop off my soapbox and go sit in a corner.

The only thing that i have noticed is groceries for just me and my daughter we would normallyspend about 60-75 dollars a week now it's like 120.00. thank god gas has come down so i figured food prices might come down. idk

:agree: and food prices went up when gas was so high, but it has not come back down yet!
Don't forget, Congress is about to vote themselves a $4,700 raise!
Their salary will average $174,000 a year. Not to shaby for doin' nothing!

Wes

Gotta count our blessings, though. All of us here enjoy the cyber-company of this forum because we're lucky enough to be Spyder owners (or soon to be owners) and we have computers and electricity.
I volunteer at our local Food Pantry and am seeing more and more that aren't so fortunate. Was freezing here this week and when I worked one 55 year old lady walked from across town to get her monthly box of groceries because she'd taken her old car in to be serviced and they had confiscated it due to dangerous (read "no") brakes. She wasn't sure how she'd get the box of groceries home, but was desperate to get food for herself and her high school aged son. I gave her a ride home when the Pantry closed, and was near tears when I left after seeing the condition of the house she lived in. She's not an isolated incident, either. Our town has a population of 9,000 and we've provided food for over 15,000 people this year since we serve other small communities, too. Sad times.

We're all pretty lucky regardless of the cost of gas or groceries, I guess. Anyway, happy holidays to everyone.. when I count my blessings, you all are on my list!

Yepper, we have a lot to be thankful for. Merry Christmas!

Yup and that is why we contact our congressmen and reps on a weekly (sometimes daily) basis!:2thumbs: One even answers us back!

Wife lost her job in October - luckily she has a pension from a previous retirement but she is not anywhere near Social Security age. I still have a stable income (Nurse with the VA) for the time being. However were not planniing on only having 1 major income when we bought the :spyder:. Willdefinitely sell my car before the :spyder: but won't get much for a 9 yr old Durango that's for sure. Irony still have politicians calling us asking for money because of campaign debt. LOL

It is crazy in Canada too! About 43% for me (although the top tax bracket is 48%). At least we have "free" healthcare - LOL. (but another 8% sales tax and 5% GST on each purchase with our after-tax dollars) Sheesh at least my Spyder is good to me

43%, My god.. That is insane. We also have `free healtcare` but i would rather pay my own health insurance. Health care do not evolve whit govenment funding. :coffee:

I work for Chrysler and will be laid off on Jan 5th:(
I live in the Snow belt unfortunately the Spyder will have to go before the car.

Lets pray it doesent come to that!
