• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

It was 51 here in Michigan overnight. It is 25 and dropping this morning, with 40 mph winds. Everything flash froze. Looks like you guys are next in the path. Ice storms are a real bear! Stay warm and dry, and don't drive if you can possibly avoid it. Stay safe, hope to hear from you when it is all over.

You're not far enough south. Are daytime low this week is supposed to be 78 and the overnight will just dip below 60. :2thumbs:

I rode for 60 miles yesterday (59 degrees). Today, as Tim mentioned, things may get crazy. Nothing yet in our area which is about 20 miles east of Tim's office. But, it's about 34 degrees.

We shall see......

18 degrees Friday night in northern West Virginia and 60 degrees Monday morning. Didn't ride today because of all the salt and runoff on the roads.

High of 31 in Reno. Low of 16. And it will be much colder tomorrow. BRRR...

This isn't encouraging news for those of us that are contemplating moving to Nevada where we can ride all year long in comfort....

Hi, BJT. Las Vegas would be the place to settle for the all year long riding. But summer temperature there would be quite scorching. It can go as high as 110-115F. It's pretty much four-seasons up here in Reno. But we are actually glad that it snowed. It is way delayed this year and they say it is El Nino again or might be the global warming. Reno is an awesome place. You guys need to visit here sometime and check out Northern Nevada or Southern Nevada.

I probably will as long as the ice is gone. The poor jeep was all over the place today while I was trying to get to work. Dealership opens at 10 AND I'll be waiting in the parking lot. Wish it was 75 and sunny, but as long as I finally have my spyder, I'll settle for cold and icy.

I have read a lot about that in the forum and have seen the famous tricycle photos and video:D. It made me realize then that you can form and develop good relations from acquaintances to good friends online. You guys are welcome here. :2thumbs:

Very Cold Up Here

It's nice to hear that some of you are able to enjoy your Spyders.
I live in Water Valley Alberta Canada. It is now -30f with about 20" of snow. We rode our Spyder for about 2 months before putting it away for the winter. I have about 6 months to polish and clean it up before we start riding again next may. Looking forward to our first ride in 2009.
