• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I don't want to be a wet blanket, but sounds like "happy" clocks to me. Required horsepower at the flywheel to turn this kind of ET is over 170 hp! This mph calculates out to something more like a mid-eights ET, which would be about what previously reported 1/4 mile times would have translated to. Something doesn't jive!

"Happy" clocks with lights: a lot of yellows, one green, sometimes a red...:joke:

:clap:That's funny but watch out for the red ones. It would be great to see you and ld271 going down the track. I'm sure you'll let us know if you guys get to race each other.

Many years (decades) ago, the entire tech crew from the drag strip I worked at was at a small strip in another state, racing our dragsters. They had a match race deal going, and one top fuel car went out and ran something like a 6.50 at 233 mph. Now you have to realize that this was at a time when the 200 mph barrier had just been breached, and the best cars ran low sevens. They called us all up to the tower to help them certify their "New World Record!" Talk about "happy" clocks, they were down right hallucinogenic. Those things could have recorded a stock VW at 200 mph. Turned out that the photocells weren't even aimed right, and the announcer had a button he just pushed to stop the clocks when he felt like it. Never felt as good about my times at that strip after that day. :)

Thanks Scotty, I'm glad someone else noticed. My:spyder:is quick but it's not a 10 sec. machine. In comparison to my 1800 R it's close, and it was a 13 through the 1/4, so I suspect the :spyder:will be about mid 13's to 14. We are going to plan a trip to Houston Raceway Park an I'll post results.
