Hi all! Just got a hitch for our RT and it came with the new wiring harness which is a square 4 pole end. Our trailer (a Fibroconcept Voyager) has a 5 hole round end. I have gotten a 4 pole adapter but am stumped- do I need to run the 5 trailer wires to where the 5 wires on the Spyder are before they are somehow converted to the 4? I can't get an answer from the local dealer, tried calling someone in Canada who sells the trailer and he suggested the above. I know some of you have something other than a BRP trailer so looking to see how you managed to make it work. Thanks in advance!:dontknow:

There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

You cannot hook a 5-wire trailer directly to a 4-wire harness. Since your Spyder harness already has a converter, you cannot use a converter, either. Most 4-to-5 converters don't work well with LED lighting or electronic relays anyway. The best solution would be to rewire your trailer to 4-wire. Tehre are several ways to achieve this. If you are not familiar with wiring, you mayt wish to enlist the aid of a local trailer shop.

Need Wiring Diagram for new 4 pole Hitch harness
I saw the post on the wire colors but the new harness doesn't use those wire colors and my local dealer just gave me silence on their end of the phone. Where can I find them anyone? The 5 wire colors going into the converter are Heavy gauge white, brown, yellow, green, bright red and a heavy gauge dark red. Other end of the converter the 4 wires are now white, yellow, green and brown. I attached a photo if that helps.

Standard trailer wiring...
White = ground
Brown = running lights
Yellow = left turn/brake
Green = right turn/brake.
Whenever you do not know the function of the outputs, you can use a multimeter to figure them out. First, with the ignition off, set the meter to test continuity (ohms) and find the ground by testing each wire's continuity to the frame or a ground wire on the vehicle. Hook the negative lead of the multimeter to that wire. Switch the multimeter to DC volts and touch each of the other wires to find the right turn, left turn, running light, and any other functions, as you turn them on one by one and look for voltage at the wire. If you have trouble with this, or haven't the proper tools, any decent trailer shop could do it for you and label the wires for a nominal fee.
