• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Heading to Adelaide

Phil

Mod Monster
Time for my annual business trip down under. Last year was the Gold Coast and had a great visit with Martin and his wife (mrb). This year, I'll be in Adelaide around March 10-14 and then over to Christchurch NZ for a few days. I do have a trade show to work and business meetings to attend, but there should be some free time.

I'd love to find a time to meet any Ryders while in either place!
Feel free to hollar here, or email me at [email protected]

PM Sent

Hi Phil, sent you a PM in regard to catching up with some Down Under Ryders
Its a shame you are heading to Christchurch as I am in Auckland and would have been
happy to have a catch up.
Chupaca, there are some great rides to be had here and beautiful scenery, you need to come and check it out.

Thanks all!! I've had several PMs and have registered on OZSPYDERRYDERS.

Australia has a pretty large amount of our software running. We have a great partner in Melbourne and each year we get face to face at a Public Safety first responder convention where we have a booth and are one of the sponsors. So, I go about 1x/yr. For now. NZ will be new for many reasons. We hope to close a very large deal and forge a new partnership while there. And... I hope to carve a little time to meet local ryder's.

Great Visit!

Yup.... had dinner with about 9 other ryders that are here in the Adelaide SA area. Babeshorty (on the right of the pic) put it together and it was great. We ate at a place that has the 'hot rock' steak cooking. One option was All Aussie meat cooking. Someone said that Australia is the only country where they eat their national animal :).

I showed them iPad pics of past SpyderFest events, and yes... Darth. It was good hearing common loves of the rydes and the challenges. One gal (in the left of the photo) had an early GS that had a really bad power steering unit. According to her and her husband, it caused her to run into a tree and it totaled the byke. BUT.... she got another. All great folks. If you find yourself in Oz, especially SA, make sure you make your presence known. I know they'd love to see others from the US and Canada and would make you feel very welcome!

Colin- Looks like I'm in Christchurch Sunday-Tues. I MAY have to do a quick trip to Wellington to see a large potential client. I fly out at 6am Wednesday. So... I'd LOVE to try to make it Auckland, but..... I met a couple tonight (next to me in the pic and nearest the window) that lived in and had businesses in the Auckland area for 18 years (I think). They just moved to SA recently.
Cheers mate. If we get this client.... maybe another time!

Phil's visit

It was great to meet Phil from Texas, although he has a new knick name here in Australia after seeing his slide show...LEDman from Texas:ohyea:.

And yes we would love to meet other :spyder2: ryders if you are ever down under.

Michele
