• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Cruise Control - Easy to fit and control system

I am under the assumption that you would need a hand brake for this to rest on, is that correct?

I was wondering, If the new RS models are coming with electric cruise control, can i get the same installed on my 2012? :dontknow: Think I am gonna call and find out.

It doesn't seem like it has to rest on the handbrake. I think the hand brake is just a point of referance to know when you have pushed the clip up far enough. I checked this product out a few months back but hadn't purchaed it yet because as a inexperienced driver I don't think cruise control is necessary for me yet. The only thing the site asked was handlebar size but didn't say the clip resting on the brake had anything to do with the actual performance.

Called DDS motorsports in Utica, and they said the new electronic cruise cannot be installed on the 2012.:banghead::banghead::banghead:
Nice people up there, offered to take my 2012 in trade on a new one, but that is not going to happen:p
Guess I will have to keep looking for a good cruise control:gaah:

The way it works is that it has to rest on something. Without a brake lever or anything on the throttle side, this gadget will simply rotate with the throttle.

It really isn't a cruise control but a throttle lock. It doesn't disengage when you touch the brake or clutch and it won't accel or slow down by itself on a incline.

Not many cruise controls...

Most are throttle locking/drag type. The expensive one require several sensors be installed to work (and can fail). Installed many on wings and repaired many. I am very happy with my palm cruise..

If you can contact swrafer2000 he put a cruse control on my wife's 2011 RS-SE5 and she loves it. Swrafer2000 lives in Lakeland,FL He should be able to help

Thanks for letting me know...

You are correct, thanks for saving me $20 for something that wouldn't work on a spyder(except for those of you who have added a hand brake)
