There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

First Spyderfest!
This will be my first Spyderfest and I couldn't be more excited. I'm looking forward to meeting fellow spyder riders.

And, I booked my hotel, however I didn't book at any of the ones on the list they all have pretty horrific reviews. :shocked:
I booked at the Days Inn Battlefield Rd it's pretty much attached to the others, too as seen here on Google Maps and has a ton of good or great reviews:
Best price I found was on Kayak (via Expedia) $41 for two queen beds or $39 for a king.

I agree, but with the exception of Comfort Inn it was hard to find any good reviews for the others. I personally don't like Comfort Inns as I've never found them to be comfortable and the mini pillows drive me nuts. Really? You will give me four half pillows? Why not two whole pillows? Also, the Days Inn was cheaper [than some] and since I'm traveling solo price is something I want to keep an eye on.
But, I don't want to hog the thread.
The Comfort Inn is currently full. Hopefully I won't be the only one at Days Inn
