There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

unlike 2 wheels your spyder offer's more dynamic braking in turns make sure you practice some hard braking with the spyder to see how it reacts to a strait hard braking and some in curve hard braking
not to mention with the spyder rapid dodging of objects takes a wider adjustment
i took a TWTT (three wheel three track) course in San Antonio after i bought my spyder and you actually took the course on your personal bike there was a lot of spyder specific training that really helped with the ability to properly control it
the ones i mentioned above were some of the key items to look at
great job on getting your M cert now rack up some serous miles on that machine 36600 and still rolling

Missouri is dumb. We have one real location that will do a trike course; however, even if you pass it, you won't get an M with 3 wheel restriction endorsement. The ability to get an endorsement for a 3WC is sitting in the state legislature apparently

So I decided to take my first mini-ride tonight since I got the M endorsement. It is about 45 degrees were I live. Well I forgot that I had taken both liner layers out of my riding jacket. I was so cold. My eyes were watering and my muscles were contracting. Lesson learned! On another note a lady did ask to take pictures of me and the spyder and said she wants one(not me, but the spyder:roflblack
and I met a cool guy who rides a Honda that was real cool too. After I warmed up, it was a pretty good night.

Wow, today was a first for me. I got on an expressway for the first time on my spyder. All together I drove about 42 miles today on the spyder. I reached my new high of 70mph today also. The one thing I was not prepared for was feeling like the wind would blow me off the spyder. I ducked down in my best "crotch rocket" pose but it felt so strong which for me took away a little of the great feeling of going further and faster than I ever have. I am still learning a lot but I am only doing what I am comfortable doing. I am still a few weeks away from being ready to really role.

Congrats on your first expressway run, the wind does play havic with the spyder and makes it a little uncomfortable until u get used to the way the bike handles fyi dont white nuckle the grips maybe slow your speed down and get comfortable with the handling and brakeing,enjoy your new :spyder2:We need some picks of your new ride.

It's good that your staying within what is comfortable for you and not pushing to where you are not in control. Your level of comfort ability will continue to increase with time and experience.

Now you know why they call it "Riding in the wind." There are taller accessory windshield available if you need more protection. I recommend the Madstad...at least the Madstad brackets. Everybody is built a little differently and wears a little different gear, so the wind affaects everyone differently. The adjustability of the Madstad helps find something that suits you.

I sweat pretty easily so I always dress light so that I can stay cool when I am somewhere that it is warmer than I prefer. I knew it was chilly when I left but I figured at my size that it wouldn't feel much colder since I am a big man(well insulated). Wow was I wrong!!!

I guess I will have to look into a touring windshield. I see so many people riding who don't seem to have any issue with the wind and are flying down the highway. Man I was holding on for dear life! But, it was my first experience. I probably haven't rode enough to know exactly what I need to add but it was a little uncomfortable to say the least.
