• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Another Light Mod (Knight Rider)

I finished another light mod. Bought a knight rider led strip then took it apart and modified it to work on the front of the spyder. It came out pretty cool looking I think.

Where did you get the Knight Rider LED strip?

Carl

I bought the strip from Advanced Automotive Concepts. I had to customize it from what they sent. The strip comes with a hard plastic cover over the board and they filled it with some water proofing. I had to remove the hard plastic and the water proofing with a heat gun which damaged the leds. So I attached new leds to the Lower panel by drilling a hole in the plastic and inserting them into that then wiring the new leds to where the old leds where at on the circuit board. Sounds like a lot but it was fun making it work.

Well you certainly did a great job. It looks awesome on the video and I would bet that it looks even better in real life. :2thumbs:

Thanks for the offer, I may take you up on this, anyway would be nice to meet up at Americade.
I go every year but not for the whole week, normally the Friday till Sunday. Too many events over the summer not enough vacation time is I have to pick and choose.

I can prep the lights up and it will only take like 15 minutes to install. Just let me know if you want them and I will order the parts. I'm thinking we will be up there Wednesday through Saturday. I'm the same way with vacation days. I'm going to florida for a week then canada for a week next year. So it doesnt leave many days. But I love getting together with the new york guys.
