• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. So my Hurricane Sandy flooded 2012 RT LTD and trailer have been totaled by Progressive (great service btw). Is there a compelling reason to try to update to a 2013 rather than to seek out a discounted 2012?

I haven't had my spyder long enough to give an opinion of why a 2013 or 2012 is better. I just know my 2012 works great for me. As mentioned above, everyone who has ridden a 2013 says the suspension is better as well the handling? So if money is not a concern for your purchase then I say go for a 2013, maybe the ST-limited and take pictures for us all to see. However, if you want to save a few bucks I don't think you would regret a great deal on a 2012. Good luck!

I had a 2010 RT-S Premier Edition. It was totaled when I had my accident last February. Progressive gave me $26,500.00. I waited (made sense in that I couldn't ride anyway recovering from surgery) so I waited until 2013's came out. Hoping to get my new spyder soon. Hope this helps.

Not sure how much you ride but if it's not that much and you need the money go for the 12 or earlier but if you ride a lot I would go for the 13, there were major changes in the 2013 compared to all older models.

Bear in mind they still have the $2,000 rebate on 2011 and 12 RT,s and There is a Big Long Island dealer I,m sure you could get a 2012 for Very Reasonable right Now!! Your Not gonna get a 2013 Discounted price until next Oct-Dec?

Sorry to hear your RT got totaled hope your house was not flooded as well, did not know there was another rider so close to me I am 5 min outside the Lincoln Tunnel on the Jersey side. At this point I would wait till the spring and if money permits it I would get the 2013.

Just curious because I'm shopping too, what would be considered a reasonable price on a 2012 RT SM5?

Probably not too nervouse since in Florida the riding season doesn't end :sour:

I just did not want to low ball but I guess I'll find out. :banghead:
