• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

picked up :spyder:sat. trip home about 100mi. no problem. went for a couple of rides about 10 to 15 mi. no problem. rode it 3mi. to grandson football game and when i stopped in parking lot and shut it down coolant about1/2pintcame out of resevoir overflow tube. thinking it probably had just been overfilled at dealer as it was still between max and min.in res.rode it about another 15 mi. shut it off and it did it again.went home cleaned it up and added about i/2pint brought it up between max and min.went for two rides about 10 mi. shut it off after each ride and everything was fine.at no time did:spyder: go above 5 bars for just a couple of min.on open road 3bars with outside temp about 71deg.thinkingmaybe sys. had an air lock but now i belive it is possibly the rad. cap not holding pressure as there is some coolant around top af res.i cant be sure if mating surface between cap and res. are correct or if it could just be a bad cap. cap says 13psi but has a 6 stamped on the ear of cap. was wondering if any one else may have had a similar problem befor i call dealer p.s awfuly embarrassing every time you stop people gathering around and antifreeze running out.

Have you checked to make sure you coolant cap is on all the way. The only time this has happened is when the cap has not been put on all the way. Basically when you tighten the cap it feels like it's locked into place. However if you look closely you will notice that it can go down another notch. It's hard to explain but I have had this issue as well as other members and this was the cause I think every time.

thanks for the info.

the old addage that the older i get the dummer i get certainly seems to hold true. checked rad. cap and sure enough with a good deal more pressure cap locked down another 1/4 turn. since i dont wish to take all the blame i will shift it to dealer service dept. as i watched them top off coolant tank. thanks again for the info. will take s:spyder:for a ride and check it out.

Glad to help, funny thing is my dealer did the same thing, that's how my issue started as well!!
