• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

10 minute oil removal with new panel for the RT

It looks to me like most of the time saved is down to eliminating 4 mounting bolts. If that's right it's going to leave 4 empty holes in the footpeg plate where the bolt heads use to be. Don't think those empty holes will look too good. :(

You are clearly a man of few words not taken to lengthy explanations. This is not a criticism, merely an observation. "Bolts and nuts" will suffice. Thanks for taking the time. ;)
Once installed, there is no visible difference between the old and new panel and grill.

I have not received my letter from BRP for the new panel. Are they still rolling them out
You should have received one by now, along with a booklet with the new maintenance schedule. Better check with your dealer or BRP to see that your warranty was properly registered/transferred. If your Spyder is listed under another name/address, still in the dealer's name, or the information they have is wrong, you will not only fail to receive this notice, but any future recall notices or other important announcements. Only CA owners were left out of this one.

Together with CA owners, we in the European area also appear to be outside of BRP's distribution loop, though I appreciate CA sets itself apart from the rest of the US with its particular brand of safety legislation, whatever. It may catch up with us eventually, it may not, but as of now we in the backwoods of Spyder ownership are still running 3000 mile oil change intervals and there has been no word on the improved replacement panel. :(

Yes, sorry not to have mentioned you guys. Not sure if this applies to Canada, or all Canadian provinces, either. Perhaps someone will enlighten us. In the US the letter was sent to all but California owners....if they were properly registered in BRP's warranty/owners list at the time of the letter.

Letter received here in Alberta for new panel and larger cover/filter for SE-5 transmission.

Lucky you, getting a letter. In the UK BRP are leaving us so much in the dark with their latest product developments we may have to develop ESP! Most companies with a worldwide distribution network treat ALL their international customers evenly and fairly. It makes good sense in a world with a World Wide Web. BRP obviously believes we Spyder owners won't talk to one another across borders. Plainly, that's nuts! :roflblack:

That's a load off, I'm sensitive to visible differences. The Spyder RT is too darn pretty to have its aesthetics
messed about with. :roflblack:

NEW PANEL

I turned my voucher into the dealer over a month go. Haven't heard :cus: from them. I think they took the money and :cus: me. I need to find a new dealer. :gaah:

My dealer ordered the new panel for me and installed it at the 4600 mile service at no cost even with me doing my on oil changes. I gave them the BRP voucher for the panel at the time of install. :agree: Something smells fishy if your dealer took your voucher before ordering the panel and its been over a month with no word from them.

:agree: Don't complain about it in here; you'll only get results by going to the dealer and pushing THEIR buttons!
Good Luck!

I asked my dealer about the panels and they said the only way I could get a set was to bring it in for an oil change. I. Checked another dealer and was told the same thing. Sad part is, I had the tupperware totally torn down and could have dropped the parts in on re-assembly. That would have been way too easy. Now I'm stuck paying the full price and letting the dealer tear off the parts all over again for nothing. Now that's customer service. :banghead:

Glad to hear it reduces the time so much though. That's a huge plus.:thumbup:

That is too bad most dealers in this area will give you the new panels all you need is your new panel certificate that came with your revised service schedule in the mail.
