• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Thanks to everyone for chiming in on the dealer survey. As we know, a dealer of any product can't please all the people all the time! I think every dealer listed on this thread deserves a high five for the happy customers and service they provide. Believe me, dealing with the public is tough!! if you have done it you know this is true. Sometimes no matter what you do, trying your very best, you will have a customer who just can't be satisfied and will make a lot of noise about his dealer being below par. Sadly this makes its way to the forums and gives a black eye to many more than actually deserve it. Yes, some dealers could use much improvement but lets continue to give credit where credit is due. Keep this tread going for these Good dealers out there. I will make a list of these guys as I plan future trips.

In the Southwest

For those in the desert...I bought my Spyder from and have had service from Ride Now Powersports in Surprise, Arizona. The tech with the Spyder know how is Josh. Had a small problem with the communication harness and though he fixed the problem, he wanted to keep the bike an extra day to give it a thorough check. Have been treated well by both sales and service. The few times I have needed their services they were very pleasant and took care of business. Haven't needed to go back for awhile but the service manager calls me periodically to see how the bike is running. :thumbup: Never had that before. And...they are very receptive to info that I give them from the go to guys on this website!:bowdown:

Maybe not the least expensive, But their customer service is top notch, and their Can am certified Master level Spyder mechanic, John, is the only one I trust my Spyder to.
 
I would like to honor several. First B&B motorsports in Victorville, Ca. I bought my first Spyder there. There service has always been first rate. One time I spotted a helmet on the rack whose price was beat by an online helmet dealer. B&B undersold them. They have also referred customers to my SRA chapter. Next, Bert's MegaMall in Covina, Ca where I purchased my RT. Each year they sponsor Bert's Mega Mall Canyon Cruise Run, usually in April, this year May (it is Calif ya know). Art Woods organizes the event and arranges a taco feast afterwards. Malcolm Smith in Riverside, Ca. Look for the yellow Spyder hanging off the outside wall off the 91 freeway. Don't worry. The traffic is usually crawling along this span of the freeway so you have plenty of time to look around. This dealer has been a big supporter of Spyder owners since they've been on the market. Cowtown in Cuba, MO has done an amazing job of uniting owners across the country for several years as many readers will attest. I bought my RT 622 there and they expedited the installation of the hitch on a busy day. Thumbs up boys. Fun Bike Center in Durango. These guys worked their butts off during the owners event including repairing my bike when the clutch hub disintegrated. And finally, though not a dealer but a certified independent mechanic, Pirate Powersports in Riverside. To know the complicated mechanics of the Spyder is one thing but to know the soul of the bike is quite another. Even though he is 100 miles from my home, he is the Marcus Welby for my bike.
 
I guess I have to plug Swampfox Motorsports out of Beckley, WV. Purchased my :spyder2: there, and they have been extremely nice and helpful. Had an oil sensor replaced, as well as the latest ECM update, and the service department seems to be very knowledgeable Spyderwise. They also keep a good bit of Spyder accessories in stock, and they have other locations in Princeton, WV and Bluefield, VA.

That is good to hear. I live in Carrollton so they are close. I am finally in the market to get my first ride 30 years after taking a riding course. So I've been lurking.. Er I mean researching.. in this forum.

I stopped by NTY yesterday just to get a first look at the RT Limited and ended up taking a short test drive in their back lot. All I can say is WOW!!! This should satisfy my somewhat past midlife crises. :ohyea:

All I have to do now is get my license and buy the dang thing. Well also got to get a test drive with my wife on the back seat since she will be putting in some good butt time there. :)

While the salesman was nice and helpful, he did make an error by teling me that the RT Limited comes standard with XM which I think it does not. But he's a salesman...what do you expect?

With just 5 minutes on the bike, I'm now a Spyder Lover and a future Spyder Ryder.

Tom and Troy have always gone out of their way to help me out and Randy in service is excellent. Tell them Matt (black Spyder RT) said hello.
