• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

My daughter

Blue Star

New member
Last week went to Spyder In The Redwoods with my youngest daughter who took leave to fly out from New York to go with me. It was a great trip, and an even better time. The only bad point was the day before we left for SITR she told us (Mom & I) that she is being deployed to Afghanistan in January. While talking to people at SITR it came up that she was being deployed, so on the last evening of the event at the BRP sponsored dinner she was called up in front of the group to be given a special Flag, a psalm 91 challenge coin (one of her favorite scriptures), and a PGR challenge coin.

What made this so special is for almost everyone there it was the first time I met them, and the first for my daughter. While she was so embarrassed by being in front of everyone she was really touched by it. When we got home she would show those two coins, and tell about the little flag to everyone she know. Even after the dinner their was a couple people that gave her their raffle tickets in case they were drawn (she did not win anything) for a prize she could have it. Made me proud not only of her, but to be part of a group that treats each other as family. Special thanks to Will, Rich, and Dede.

PS. Sorry for the poor filming.

Bob, the video says PRIVATE when I tried playing it. Make sure you post it on the chapters' FB page. And what a honor it was in Eureka for everybody to honor her.

Bob, just change the setting on your youtube page so it can be shared. hope to see more SITR photos and videos shared here as well. I am not so good with FB surfing.

Glad you got to share a fun trip with your daughter!

She's Special

A sincere thanks to your daughter. With an all volunteer military we rely on very special people like her to do the heavy lifting. My hat is off to her and those like her who unselfishly put country before self.

Brian, I can't post it on Face Book as she does not want me to tell any extended family members (don't want Nana to worry), and they will see it on Face Book. I do get away with telling my friends because she knows they can't say anything.

I'm sure she'll never forget it, but why is she running over a dog in that picture?

Her sister said the same thing :roflblack: Scooby was a Christmas present when she was ten years-old, and "her baby".

I changed the setting. It was the first time I have posted anything on You Tube, and learned something new today. I have about 2.5 to 3 hours of video riding up there, but still working on that to post.

That only mildly describes me :firstplace:

Thanks for sharing. A special thanks to your daughter for her service to our country and for helping to defend our values. May she stay safe in the "sandbox" and come back safe , sound, whole and ready to carry on her life.

I work with our veterans on a daily basis, providing those that need it standard of care medical support:yes:

Thanks

Thanks doesn't even come close to how I feel about what your daughter is "giving" for her country. for her and her fellow freedom fighters...

Sometimes it's the spur of the moment things that mean the most.

Cudos to everyone for doing the right thing! We need to recognize those who sacrifice so that we can be free!

Spyderovers are THE BEST!
