• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2011 RT Limited Paint

Has anyone with a 2011 Pearl White RT LTD found paint for touch-up? I have the BASF and BRP paint codes but paint shop in Houston area said they would have to try and match by looking at painted part off the Spyder. When you call BRP they try to tell you that any paint shop can cross reference the code and give you a match. That appears to be BS. I have a couple of nicks that I want to touch-up but so far no luck in finding paint to match.
Thanks!

The Pearl White is a tough one to match. From what I was told, it's a two step process and very hard to match. The codes I was given are from GM #12346585 code 98 WA 800J (Lacquer touch - up paint) White Diamond and GM #10529006 code 40 WA 8554 (Lacquer touch - paint) White. Again, it's a two step process and I don't know in what order they are applied. May want to check with paint tech. Hope this helps and good luck.

Paint for 2011 CanAm Spyder RT LTD

Thanks for the responses to my touch-up paint inquiry. It's like trying to find a neddle in a hay stack!

fonz, didnt you have the floorboards painted to match bike? Can't get some touch up there?:dontknow:

Because its a 2 or 3 step process, they're acting like they don't want to do it for such a small job. Called US paint, and they said the kit would include paint, lacquer and some other stuff that sounds like I have to be a paint expert to mix it and apply it. A quart costs approximately $ 300.00 and some change. I've got to figure out what my best move is:yes:

If your just using it for touch up and we can find someone to mix it right, I'd be happy to split the cost. Let me know

When I first joined this forum a couple of months ago, someone started a post saying they found a finger nail polish that matched the white paint. Might be worth a search.

I had a silver 2010 with a trailer. I brought a 2011 LTD and tried to get my painter to match my trailer to the color. He painted it once (paint cost $300, his labor $200) and the color wasn't even close. I went back to the paint supplier and he gave me the paint, giving my painter the benifit of the doubt, He painted it again and it was closer, but still no cigar. If someone figures how to get it right, please let me know the secret.

I'm having some Pearl White made up, I'll let you know how I make out

BRP really left us out in the rain when it comes to thier paint colors and touch up. I have tired for a year to get touch up paint like most every vehical on the planet has but no luck. Yes, we can buy $300 worth of paint but it is cheaper to replace the panel than to touch it up. Ahh the joy lol....

My frunk got chipped, and it has pinstripping on it. I'm caught between a rock and and a hard place. Waiting for my paint to come in from US Paint. The smallest amount is a quart, and they're charging $ 360.00, Oh the pain haha
