• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Anyone had Hydrographics applied to their RT??

I just can't get over the "decals on my dash" hump, and have been taking a hard look at hydrographics for better longevity, durability, and looks. Especially for my dash area.

Any thoughts??

Not seen anyone do it yet... but it's a cool process and really like it!

Cowtown has similar system and they sell their dashes. Call them for more details. I got mine and it looks good!!

I had no clue what that was so to save everyone else googling here's a link.

Hey Harry there was a post on here a while back a guy in Australia had it done, wheels and the upper and lower A-arm covers. It is a very labor intense product. they have to clean the parts then do it again rinse in clean treated water apply graphics let dry then clear coat. I looked into having all the black plastic done on a rt including the dash and the price was around 1400 dollars. There is only one company that I know of in western Canada doing it and they are in BC. I was told to wait until next year because they are coming out with new designs, they have the system perfected they were lacking in design, unless of course you like the camo look then you would be happy. There is also a guy on here from Quebec that has it done as well. Maybe someone can help us out on the name

After watching the video, it appears to be an interesting process, but I don't know the advantage of it's application to the Spyder. It would seem to me to be very hard to match graphics lines between multiple parts.

An ATVing buddy of mine had the bodywork on his Grizzly dipped; A Jungle camo Vietnam War-era style, and it came out great! It was tougher than paint, but it could be scratched...
Really cool stuff! :2thumbs:

coating

Why not just have Linex truck bed liner sprayed all over the bike . That would make one tough coating and you never have to worry about scratches again.:spyder2:

The Burl Wood photos are my bike (I recognized my windshield vent) and I was pleasantly suprised by the ease of installation and the reasonable pricing. I have had many complements on how it really dressed up the bike. :ohyea::ohyea:

When my kids were in school they brought home pencils that they had dipped into water and (I think enamel paint) streaks of paint then twirled the pencils to make patterns.

Thanks Lamont I new there was a pic out there. This can be an excellent way to do all the black plastic on the rs or rt's. You can apply any base color and you can also apply as many clear coats as you would like. Just think of the possibilities with clear coating you could do standard gloss or the new matte clear coat which would give the parts a subtle look. I am seriously thinking of doing this to the rt this winter.
