• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

How tight are the plastic panels on your Spyder?

While washing my 2012 RSS I noticed that there are a few places where the plastic panels seem too loose. Like a rivet or snap is not engaged.

I can take some video of what I am referring too if need be.

Can someone please let me know if the plastics are nice and secure on your Spyder or are they looser then you would like.

Possibly the rubber collar is pushed in through the holes (usually when putting the panels back on) and needs to be re-set or replaced if missing now? Only way to know is to pull them and check.

the rubber gromets get dry rotted easy and need to be maintained and replaced or your panels will come loose or fall off...we spray detail spray on ours periodically to keep them plyable ...it also makes it easier to remove and put panels back on.

Without a picture, not sure where you're talking about. Most everything is snug except around the 'Y' panel. (Goes around the center console and back to the front of the seat.) That part is kinda flimsy hooking onto the panel below it. If that's the case, nothing to worry about.

A little dab of petroleum jelly will keep your rubber grommet in good shape.

I've silconed a couple of my grommets in place because I got tired of them popping out and ending in a place it was hard to get to.

I agree. All the panels on my GS are snug, except that y panel. That panel doesnt really attach to the center console panel except by tabs, and they always pop out.
